I'm in the UK and have just bought a 2017 A6 Avant and have exactly the same issue. I have the Tech pack option including Audi Connect although there isn't a sim card in the card yet. I connect my iPhone 7 (with latest software) with a lightening cable into the USB port on the Audi and nothing happe...
