Re: Spotted: RS4, Memorial Park, Tauranga

Hi Lewy - I live in the Mount, and I have seen that Nardo Grey one around too, but I don’t know whose it is. Farmer Autovillage are a great dealership - Shaun Marberg is your man there - has sold me two RS4s in a row. After sales service there is fantastic.

Re: All issues and niggles with the B9 RS4

Running a bit rough when cold seems to be a common theme. Mine is definitely a bit “precious” and jumpy for the first 100m or so down the road when cold, but comes right after that. A colleague had more of the kangaroo hopping experience - had it back to the dealer and eventually they swapped him ou...

Re: Picked up the RS4 yesterday

Congrats and nice colour choice. I haven’t yet seen any green ones here on the NZ roads. Have had mine a year now, and still loving it. Drove Tauranga-Gisborne-return earlier this week in the wet, and it was the perfect car for that relentlessly twisty road :)

One year on - still very happy

Well, it’s just coming up to a year since I took delivery of my B9 RS4. I’ve done only around 8000km, but I have to say that overall, I’m still extremely happy with the car. On the open road it is just awesome, and it’s equally comfy and drivable around the city. Only niggles, and the are very minor...

Re: Data connection problems with iPhone

Hi PieterZ - no SIM card or subscription with the new car here in NZ, so have to use hotspot on my iPhone to connect data. I have read on some Apple forums that the annoying need to reconnect each time is due to the hotspot timing out on the iPhone 5 mins after you get out of the car, but that still...

Data connection problems with iPhone

Is anyone else out there struggling with this? One of the features I love on the B9 RS4 is the Google maps overlay on the sat nav. In order to run this, you need to link the MMI to a data connection on your phone. For some reason (and I suspect it is yet another iPhone issue, more than an Audi issue...

Re: Rs4 b9 issue

I’ve not had this either, and I’ve done quite a bit of driving up and down a new stretch of motorway at around 120km/h both with and without cruise control. It’s smooth as a baby’s bum so I’d definitely notice if there were little blips like you’re experiencing. You say it happens with our without c...

Re: Are they as good as the reviews??

I’ve got the 8speed box in a new SQ5, it’s the only thing that lets it down. DSG is so much better to use. Laggy when pulling away, and just feels syrupy slow when you use the paddles. I’ve not driven it, but If the RS4 has the same feel that would disappoint. I drove a new SQ5 from my I dealership...

Re: First 250 miles

Hi Steve great review of your first 250 miles. I’ve done just over 2000km in mine now, and like others here I’m falling more and more in love with it. Such a versatile car and a true “next level” improvement over my 2015 B8. DRC comes standard in New Zealand, as it did in the B8, and the B9 version ...

Wheel envy! :)
The wheels were the one option I went for over the standard NZ spec - an extra NZ$3500 but well worth it I reckon. Also, I HATE alloys that are hard to clean, so these were a must versus the NZ standard 20”ers.

Re: Finally it has arrived!

I think we get a tougher deal here in NZ being about as far from the factory as you can get - that standard spec here per the photo above is NZ$150,000 which works out currently to be GBP77,000. Not sure what your pricing is in the UK, but I’m guessing the UK standard (lower) spec is way cheaper tha...

Re: Finally Collected & Brake Squeal

My B9 also had some mild brake squeal in first couple of weeks around town, but this disappeared after a long drive down country on open roads and some more spirited use of the pedal. I expect like others have said it’s a issue of build-up on the pads with only light brake pressures. My B8 was a nig...

Re: Finally it has arrived!

Hi Cuttsy. Yes really like the alloys - and they are going to be much easier to clean than the standard issue wheels. Speech recognition seems to work pretty well - have successfully spoken in addresses to navigate to etc. Maybe it just likes kiwi accents 😃. The only tech problem I’m still having is...
