Re: Understanding traction control
I’ve read through all the comments. The tires have 4.5mm rear and 5.5mm front. Goodyear eagle F1 assymetric 3’s. I’ve worked out the problem and it was tire pressures. However there’s more to this. I think that the problem is with letting off the clutch to quick as I change to the next gear. I’m use...

Re: Understanding traction control
Eagle F1 assy 3 tires.
It has a fairly new clutch, it just cuts power on changes or pull away unless I press and have the light flashing.
This isn’t really answering the question and it a bit off topic though.

Re: Clutch pedal doesnt come up
Mine did a clutch pedal issue. Turned out to need the pipe replacing between the master and slave, when it gets hot the rubber section in the middle goes soft. Best cure is new master, slave and pipe. Audi don’t bleed the clutch when they do brake fluid, mind you some of the techs don’t even do the ...

Understanding traction control
After a lot of work my Avant B7 is now carbon cleaned, and I’ve fixed everything as far as I can tell. I’m at the point where I’m a little fed up with it cutting the power with a hard pull away or an aggressive gear change. I’ve read that there is 2 ways to play with the traction control. I’ve tried...

Re: Clutch creaking and loss of pedal travel, sticking
forgot to put, I located the source of the creaking, an odd spring that compresses at the mid point of the travel. I ended up spraying it with deblock and then brushing some grease on the sprayed joints that had now shut up.

Clutch creaking and loss of pedal travel, sticking
Hi, Has anyone got the definitive answer to the clutch issues? Mine is like this. Creaking from pedal that can be felt. When doing some spirited driving the travel and biting point change, becoming lower. The top couple of inches feel empty. On occasion when the car is like this the pedal can become...

Re: Engine Mounts.
I did the ones on my S4. Need block of wood to jack the sump. Right hand is fairly easy, Headlight, inlet pipe, top bolt. Left is a little trickier. Remove the bottom bracket, move the expansion tank, the power steering bottle, headlight, partly remove the inlet pipe and you will see the top nut. Ha...

Y pipe needed
Hi all,
I'm on the lookout for a rs4 Y pipe. It's been dropped by Audi (no surprise there).
I've heard about people breaking rs4's and wondered if anything is available.
Cosmetics can be crap for all I care.
Function is the important thing for me.

How do I stop this from having a 3rd go?
New 034 street engine and gearbox mounts installed, the split snub mount rubber was a new APR one.

Here to learn the old ways.
Hi,
I'm new here and I've just had a look for an answer and it didn't address the problem. Could be my lack of experience with forums and how to use them.
I have a B5 S4 that I think a previous owner was on here as I have an RS246.com back window.

Front LSD
I'm having trouble with a front LSD. The rear one went in ok, a Gripper plate and clutch. Works lovely. The front, I planned on fitting a quaife. Purchased it, took took it all apart to find out the front diff has an oil pump drive gear fitted and the quaife wasn't designed to take it. No hole for t...
