I appreciate these sort of cars are never an investment but if your 4 year price is correct then I think it might be time to listen to the head for once. I hadn't really considered the future value but when you put it at £15k+ then I think the head to needs to have a serious word!

Scratching my head after reading this thread and wondering if this is possibly the worst time to buy a RS6. My build slot is end of September but I fear this will be delayed when reading between the lines... Heart says sit back as I know I will love the car - Head says cancel and reconsider alternat...

Having recently ordered a car I almost cried reading the start of this thread. Antisocial is a requirement for sure.

I'd venture that 4-5 months is unrealistic. Your sales person should be setting expectations.

This scares me a little. The sales guy suggested September but the more I read the less this seems likely. Anything beyond September and I will rethink my position.

Thanks for your replies. 2 to 12 months is quite a window!! I'm mentally prepared to wait 4 or 5 months but a 12 month wait could be a problem.

Quick update. I ordered my RS6 on the 20th April and today I followed up asking for an order number so I can track the car on "Your Audi". The response I got was: "Because your car is an RS6 and has exclusive paint it will take some time before it is loaded on to the system" Nearly two weeks to be "...

I have no doubt it will be worth the wait. I'm just a little giddy

Sorry to hear of the delay! Surely you have waited long enough. When placing the order the dealership guesstimated Sept delivery. However they reckon they can provide a better estimated delivery in two weeks time... what changes after two weeks? Do they sit on the order for two weeks to allow your 1...
