Re: Help - Air suspension failure
Maybe take the front wheels off and put the brake rotors on a wheel dolly? Thanks. I had discussed this with one of the recovery firms. We tried to use the dolly’s but they were too large and couldn’t fit to the brakes securely. In the end it turns out that with air suspension fully collapsed, the ...

Help - Air suspension failure
So, driving along motorway, receive yellow warning regarding air suspension, then quickly amber saying car too low. Amazingly there was a shell petrol station that I got into, parked safely, got out and saw the front right arch coming down to meet the tyre with lots of air hissing. I quickly jacked ...

Re: Mirror Glass - NOW FIXED
Thanks both. I did manage to get the mirror out, small suction cup and some string to help pull from the back. Although, cleaning the contacts as best I could didn’t do anything, then a little copper grease allowed it to operate for one heat cycle but has now stopped again :( Maybe time for a small ...

Re: Mirror Glass - NOW FIXED
In case anyone else has this issue I thought i'dd take the mirror out and have a look. Surprisingly taking it out was very easy with my plastic trim removal tools. On doing so all looked fine but the two wire connectors looked a little corroded, so with a little bit of fine sand paper I cleaned the...

Re: Exhaust clamps
Thanks both. Guess I will check if they are still strong and for any blowing and replace if required.
If anyone does find this then the part number is as above. I also found full diagram here https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/etka ... 58/253950/

Exhaust clamps
Hi all, I noticed yesterday that my rear exhaust clamps holding pipes just before back boxes are heavily corroded (rusted). Google suggests that it is a common problem. Is that the case? I also saw here https://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=112149&p=701402&hilit=clamp#p701402 the part numbers...

Re: Insurance recommendations
I went with aplan (underwritten by zenith) last year, with renewal this year the same price. It was 745 for 36 year old and wife with full NCB. Haven’t found anything close this year, but going to give NFU a try tomorrow.

Re: Insurance
Got my RS6 delivered on Saturday
. It is used, but since I have just done insurance I thought I would say to check out a-plan. They gave me a rate of 730 with 7 years NCD. Only £50 more than my S5.
