Auto scan scans the whole car. If you go to the engine module then it just scans that one. You can’t do any harm if you’re just checking and clearing codes

What is the difference with this compared to what i have done?

Do i select this from the control module option and do i need to be really careful when in there.

Clearly i am no expert and yet to start the car. But I wondered if with the fault logged and not cleared did this keep the fans running as some safety feature?
