Number plate bulb holder
Keep on getting the bulb out notification on the dash. Number Plate Bulb. Replaced the bulb last week , noticed a bit of corrosion in the holder. Cleaned off some of the corrosion and it worked fine and dandy. Out today and the notification is back on the dash. Are the bulb holders easy to replace o...

Low battery problem
Just a small issue that is bugging me Had a flat battery the other day and I used my booster to start it using the terminals under the bonnet. It started fine and ran fine with no issues, ran the car for about 60 miles and returned home. Started fine the next morning and ran a few errands and then t...

Re: Rear lighrs
You need the 2008 version as the LED structure is slightly different so the lights would glow differently

Re: Oil Level greyed out in MMI
Yup, the car has a dipstick built into the cap. A bit shocked by the dealer sending me away saying there was no way of checking the oil. Going to head back out to see what they say to this blatantly obvious method of checking. He was away looking for a 3rd party way of checking the oil level with a ...

Re: Oil Level greyed out in MMI
So there is a dipstick built into the cap. He took the car into the workshop and came back 10 mins later saying that there was no way of checking the oil level as the MMI option was greyed out and according to his workshop info for the car there was no dipstick he could use to check the level manual...

Re: Oil Level greyed out in MMI
It is 100% a V10
The service tech brought the workshop reference out to show me that there was a dipstick option for the 2009 and 2010 version but nothing for the 2008 version

Oil Level greyed out in MMI
Wanted to check the level of the oil in the car and followed the procedure in the handbook but the problem is the option never becomes available in the MMI CAR menu Up to temp, checked after a 30 odd mile motorway jaunt and sat for a couple of mins Went through the MMI and the option for Oil Level i...

Re: Nightmare in Galaxy Grey (UPDATE)
Got the car back after 26 days at Glasgow Audi. Their system was adamant that the Fuel Pump Controller was the reason the car was not starting. I told them about the previous nonsense i had experienced and asked them to double check the loom around the scuttle panel area. Got the call back that they...

Handbook for an early car
When i got the car the handbook was missing, had the service manual but no handbook. Went to Glasgow Audi to order one and they say the original book for the 2008 cars is no longer stocked or in print. Only one they have available in the UK is the book from a November 2009, which i believe is slight...

Re: Nightmare in Galaxy Grey
Originally i wanted it repaired in a way that was cost efficient but the repair had to be up to standard. I wanted someone to inspect the job after it had been to the dealers choice of repair shop but no, after the intimidation, ransom demands and blocking tactics from the dealer by desperately tryi...

Re: Nightmare in Galaxy Grey
Hind sight is a beautiful thing, the old C5 is still sitting there rubbing my nose in it Spoke to the Vehicle Quality Team from the finance company, earlier today and they agree the dealer is desperate to blame the Ghost system. They want to wait until the report comes back from Audi as to what is w...

Nightmare in Galaxy Grey (UPDATE)
C6 RS6 Avant 2008 It was the dream car, huge estate with thunderous power and torque. I had the older C5 version but with its numerous DRC and gearbox issues i was always wary of pushing on too much. I was always listening to the box and rating every shift out of ten, scrutinising every squeak and t...

Humble thanks for that
Did not want to be unscrewing when i should be pulling.
Sad end to such a beautiful car, to be dragged onto a low loader with such indignity
