Re: Lowering and tyres
Isn't a different tyre size the solution then ? I find the original 285/30/21 tyres pretty high and square on the wheels, think with 275/30/21 or even 275/25/21 you will have more space (obviously to lower the car further), and it will look much better. I'd rather not use either of those sizes. 275...

Re: Piggy back tuning box, has anyone installed one?
I've not heard this before. Do they make you aware if this before buying? Whilst the loss of cylinder on demand is not a big deal I'd be very annoyed if I wasn't made aware of this beforehand. No, apparently they can only do it through the ecu and not through the box so there is the problem, it goe...

Re: Piggy back tuning box, has anyone installed one?
675 with only as I said you also have to get the 4-cyl modus out because it really sucks. I asked mtm to write it out, they quoted 2000 euros compared to a tuner here in Holland who quoted 500 euros, not very serious if you ask me... What do you mean 4 cyl modus? Cylinder deactivation, it continuou...

Re: Piggy back tuning box, has anyone installed one?
How much hp you getting with your mtm box? 675 with only the box and on 100 octane, I am mostly on 98 as here in Holland it's difficult to get 100 or 102 but whenever I am in Germany I take 102, cannot say I feel much difference then. I don't know if I would do it again, power is really good in 4-5...

Re: Lowering and tyres
Not sure why you are bothered about R01 when using a non standard size tyre? Dunno, it's Audi spec so wouldn't hurt. Anyway, they are all R01. Michelins are not available in that size as far as I can find. I read your thread, nice car you have I like the mods, did you try the spacers after lowering...

Re: Lowering and tyres
I get why you want to go a little narrower as I get a little rub at the front with 40mm springs. But won't they be slightly lower profile? And if you have the standard 21s then doesn't that increase the risk of buckling them? Pirellis are the worst of the OEM tyres but if you are going a non standa...

Re: Lowering and tyres
Why would you put such crap tyres on it? And the wrong size? Well, think it will look better because the tyre will be pulled more to the inside and will be a little less high and square on the wheel. And so far my experience is good with the pirelli's so if it doesn't influence the ride much think ...

Re: Piggy back tuning box, has anyone installed one?
Got the MTM M-Cantronic box with exhaust, did 10k miles now, goes pretty well, power is "sufficient". Only thing I don't like at all is the 4-cyl modus change, really spoiling the fun so have to break in the ecu anyway to get it written out
