Re: Dog car boot mattress
Good luck! The net partition isnt suitable, especially for small dogs as they can fit around the sides. If I were you I’d keep the crate permanently, not only does it protect the car (toilet and sick), more importantly it protects the dog in the event of an accident and from falling luggage. You wan...

Re: b&o stereo system
Do you like it? You’re only buying it for you! It seems well specced to me, no it doesn’t have b & o, but it has a stereo. It’s got a lot of other good options including the only ones I’d think is worth it, sports pack and full leather. If you are planning on moving it on in short order and it’s goi...

Re: b&o stereo system
If that’s the one you were talking about earlier, it also has the full leather option and I’d imagine the auto elec fold wing mirrors as nearly everyone got them because who wants to get out of your brand new £62k car and fold the wing mirrors up by hand like a 1993 corsa!

Re: b&o stereo system
What more options do you want really? The car is a massive option in itself over an A4 tdi; a completely standard car is still a bloody good car. People with a massive list of options as if it’s some sort of achievement engenders this attitude. Go drive the car, do you like the car? Buy the car! I g...

Re: Who's been to see it in the flesh?
Saw one on sat, (£78k list...) looks great from the front, nice detail on front splitter, not keen on fussy details of air vents for the lights... Overall as above, it looks like it needs spacers as flared wheel arches overhang a bit too much, which backs up my initial impression from pictures that ...

Re: Advanced Key
Mercedes keyless entry equivalent you can disable by pressing lock twice on the fob, it won’t then open and close when you are washing it, pressing any button re-enables the function, does Audi have similar trick?Helpfully learned this from a newspaper article an old man in the pub cut out and kept ...

Re: Who's been to see it in the flesh?
The 19” style in 20” to fill the arches would be my preference. When I ‘built’ one to scope an order last week I ended up selecting 19”s. The fact I had to stop and think i’d probably end up having to justify my choice on here for ‘poverty spec’ made me realise that it’s me that’s the idiot not Audi...

Re: Who's been to see it in the flesh?
It must just be me but I really don’t like any of the 20” wheels. Considering the milled ones there are supposedly premium ones they remind me of something from BK knights in the back of max power in the 90s. V spokes and rotors really worked and the rs6 wheels all look great. B9 Rs4/5 really not.

Re: Dog car boot mattress
George, don’t know if you’ve looked at bootbuddy, I bought one when car was brand new 3.5 years ago and the boot still looks that way. Basically a preformed plastic template that fits the area, then you can add certain accessories such as bumper guard, non slip mat and we just bought another for the...

Re: Ordered one
The warranty repair of drc is great, had the c5 and b8 done twice- it’s just the hassle of being without the car, trips to dealer and ultimately always having at the back of your mind it could fail again for me. It is great when it works though, however dynamic makes the car undrivable at motorway s...

Re: Ordered one
Congrats, exactly same predicament I had with b8/drc. I specced the car without it because of all the issues on c5 and b7 but ended up cheaper with the sport pack I think as wanted rotors and sports exhaust. I genuinely wish I hadn’t, nowt but issues with drc still- UK roads are largely to blame I t...

Cuttsy, have you opted for no DRC? If I go for a b9 I will be avoiding it for sure

Re: And we're off...
The biggest journeys start with the smallest steps... and ultimately it’s all part of the premium car experience I think, I’d be surprised if Porsche sent you an email saying ‘we are done the start of you’re car’ when you shell out £70k :) I’m not picking up the grammar/spelling I couldn’t give 2 fe...

Re: And we're off...
Great news congrats, although doesn’t fill me with confidence that they can’t even construct a short sentence properly when they are about to construct a car with hundreds of thousands of moving parts...
