Looks like it is what it says it is... Defective knock sensor which is pulling your timing in... Can you do the lambdas at idle as I mentioned so i can see your fuel trims...

Can we see what your Bank 1 and 2, sensor 1 and 2 are doing at idle when hot... A little video would be good so we can compare... Say idle at temperature for 2 mins, then hold at 3k revs for 30 secs, then idle for a min... That way we can see what your fuel trims are doing... Obviously 1 set of valu...

If its on steering lock it can also be brakes holding on slightly, but def get it checked to be safe!...

Brake light switch or Throttle body is my guess but you need VagCom really! If you are local to Kent, swing by and ill have a look for you!

As above, RS4 for 16k... Def buyer beware!! So think you have made your mind up already! B8 S4 for you, unless you want to sink some money into the RS4

The real question is....

Are you a V8 fan or a Turbo fan!

Totally different to drive! Iv'e had both and I love the sound of the V8s, but then love the aggressive on boost feeling!

Currently got a B7 RS4 and have considered the RS3 and am still contemplating!
