Re: Window regulator

Just checked both sides. Drivers side cable has snapped but passenger side hasn’t. But it makes a horrible crunching noise and the window goes up and down on its own when you use the switch, so I’m guessing it’s on its way out. Both sides have bolts so I’m guessing they’ve never been replaced before...

Window regulator

Both my front window regulators and my interior fan motor broke during that mini heatwave a few weeks ago which was fun. Neither of which Audi stock now. Bought a second hand fan motor. Now I need some regulators but I haven’t got much of a clue on brands. Seen some for £20 and some for £100. Are th...

Re: alternator/battery issue

Hmm I’ll have a think about rockauto only worried in case of having to return it. Haha and the last answers are, degree is physics with open university (can’t recommend them enough) hoping to work in quantum computing. And health issue is to do with my vision. This car was my achievable dream car. I...

Re: alternator/battery issue

from the states? I've just checked, seems reasonable, just dep[ends on delivery time. The reason I've had all this work done is to sell the car due to finishing my degree and unfortunately health issues means I gotta stop driving. I could have sold the car as is but just couldn't sell it with issues...

Re: alternator/battery issue

Thanks guys! It's just so difficult to check the belts on this car! Its the idle dropping that's strange, is that beaches the voltage is dropping? I'll check the voltage with a multimeter to make sure it's not over charging. I also need to check if these alternators come with clutches.

alternator/battery issue

Hi everyone, been a while since I've posted but I've not used the car much. So recently I've had a lot of work done on the car, including replacing downpipes, cam belt, new belts and tensioners, water pump, thermostat, coolant leak repair and light range senses replaced. This was all done at a reput...

Exhaust specialist recomdations

hey guys, so both my flexis need replacing. I've searched but all i can find are the cheap £200-300 DPs. With the amount of work involved replacing them, its just not worth the risk. I've seen on some of FB groups where they have been repaired in situ, one guy used v-bands. Thought i may as well rep...

Re: Code reader recommendation

Thanks Shopp! Will do that this weekend. I can’t wait to fix the headlight sensor, I’m sick of that warning bleeping every time I put it into gear and you don’t half miss the parking sensors with a car this big

Re: Code reader recommendation

The plugs were changed around 10,000miles ago or 2 years. I’m not sure when the coil packs were changed. The spark plugs are the ngk ones as recommended. I could feel the misfire. If it happens again I’ll have a look at the coil pack, I know we haven’t had to change them on my ownership. It has been...
