Re: Wanted: RS6/RS7 4G C7/7.5 Air Filter Box

I have one if you’re still looking. Had it on my S6 for a few years till I sold the car a couple of months ago and fitted the S6 one back on.

Re: Iphone X No messages or Emails

Yeah, good point on Apple, not the first time they have decided to do their own thing, had been away from an IPhone for a good few years too, just fancied a change as I also just recently got a MacBook pro and thought they might hook up to one another quite well, they do but not as well as I thought...

Re: Iphone X No messages or Emails

Thanks for the reply Mark, had come across a couple of comments like that but was hoping they were incorrect. looks like I might need to look into the smartphone interface retrofit, or back to my Galaxy S8. Quite shocking though, car only 2 years old and already the mmi system is obsolete.

Re: New discs and pads

It is weird that EBC don't make front discs but do rears and pads for front and rears, defo worth taking a couple of wheels off and just checking, I agree with the front brake squeal being annoying, but the pads I listed/recommended are supposed to have no issue with the squeal and my main concern i...

Re: New discs and pads

If you gave EBC your correct car details then I would trust them to supply the correct brake parts required, If only on 17000 miles then extremely surprised that you need discs and pads, possibly pads at that mileage but you should not need discs yet. ratio is usually about 3 sets of pads to 1 set o...

Re: New discs and pads

Cant give you any experience on the ones you have put the link to as mine just coming up for 17000miles so plenty life left in them yet, but when the time comes I have been looking at getting ceramic pads from USA (disk Italia hyper ceramic) from a company called brakeworld.com I have emailed them a...

Re: Good range = low fuel consumption

Just thought I would add my comments to this one folks, I have an S6, and as much as I love my spirited drives in it, its also nice to know that when I need to/am forced to be sensible I can get 30mpg out of it. I am off to the South of France in it from Scotland in four weeks time and if I could no...

Re: Audi Connect questions

can get a threeuk 12gb sim for £25 from my memory, it lasts 12 months from time of first use, just about to replace mine after 12 months use, used it for google maps, weather etc, all phones connected to it that time when in car and my daughters ipad too, think still about 2gb left as well.

Re: Do you have a second car? Which?

I have an S6 saloon, 2015 but the facelift model, also got a wee 08 plate mini cooper s with the full JCW treatment, fun wee runabout car. The Mrs has an 11 plate Laguna coupe with some subtle mods that I think makes it look cracking. Also got a Ducati 848 for the nice weather days which are few and...

Re: Moving from a C6 to a C7 RS6 - Options

If you have seen one you like that is matt, then that's a good idea. Wrap it to protect it, then you have the option of keeping the matt look with the correct wrap for that type of look, or you could wrap it in a completely different colour/finish. I'm sure it wont be cheap, but could work if you ge...

Re: Moving from a C6 to a C7 RS6 - Options

If you want a matt finish it might be worth having a look at wrapping, much easier to maintain and easy to change back to original colour if required.

Re: Anybody bought an S6 recently?

It was a pre registered 6 months old car (November 2015, so the facelift model) with 26 miles on the clock, and it was over 23k cheaper than if I ordered the same car/spec new...... One thousands pounds depreciation a mile!!! :jump: So that's mid 40s if you don't mind me being blunt? Not at all Ian...
