Considering the MRC stage 2 option with cat-back exhaust. Anyone have any info on increased supercharger noise levels?
I've heard it increases whining noise - is this true? If so, is it annoying? Or drowned out by the exhaust?
Cheers

S4 B8 stage 2 remap
Considering remap options for my 2011 manual S4 Avant, either Revo or maybe APR. Someone mentioned that MRC do a Stage 2 package for £1500, but would this require a new clutch to manage the extra power? Also, would it require a new cat back exhaust to make the most of the tuning? Grateful for any ad...

S4 B8 engine whine
Just drove my S4 Avant B8 (2011/manual) back from a 3000 mile trip across Europe with the engine making a disturbing mechanical whine, especially between 50 and 70 mph or after fast acceleration. There was always a mild whine at high speed which I assumed was just the supercharger, but it is now rea...

S4 B8 tuning
Considering engine stage 1 remaps for an S4 B8 including APR, which is expensive (£1100+) and Quantum, which is comparatively cheap (£300+). APR brings power up to around 440bhp with the right fuel, requiring no mechanical changes (except a new supercharger drive pulley if you want more torque). Qua...

ABS replacement rear discs
I'm replacing the rear discs on my B5 - has anyone used ABS replacement parts? Are they a good substitute? I'm sticking with OEM parts on the front.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: RS4 turbo
Thanks for the insight. I had the vehicle examined by a specialist who said both units had to be removed and reconditioned and the forced induction system overhauled. I agreed, and have now discovered that the previous owner of the car had had stage 1 K04s fitted which were not supported by a commen...

RS4 turbo
My mechanic says I’ve got an oil leak from one turbo which needs to be fixed, along with another leak from one of the intercoolers. But now blue smoke is also coming from one of the exhaust pipe outlets at intervals, which is worrying. There is also a high-pitched whining noise which is most apparen...

RS4 B5 oil issues
Audi RS4 2.7 bi-turbo 2001 Nogaro Blue, 400bhp Excellent garage in N London, Autodeutsch solved rocker cover gasket issues and diagnosed other faults while the front was off. Oil breather pipes have to be replaced to prevent sludge clogging, causing leaks. Cheers to Chris and mechanics at Autodeuts...

Zimmermann discs/rotors
Hi I'm planning on replacing the discs and pads on my RS4 B5 (2001, blue, 400ps, r/h/d) and was considering using slightly cheaper aftermarket Zimmermann discs, which come in drilled and non-drilled spec (see link). The car is for daily road use/trips, not track days, so I don't plan to thrash them....
