Re: speedometer out with bigger wheels...any suggestions?
Here's another thought for you to consider - we are making an assumption that Audi calibrated the speedo to be 100% accurate when they left the factory....... this may not be the case. I'd noticed a while ago that with the standard 17" rims my Garmin satnav was suggesting the speedo was reading fast...

Re: speedometer out with bigger wheels...any suggestions?
I don't know if anyone with experience of VAG-COM knows if the wheel size is something that can be changed, from the lack of response I'm guessing not....? The standard wheels were either 255x40x17 or 255x35x18 which have a diameter of 636mm. To get the same diameter with 19" wheels you would need t...

I saved a web link a few years ago as it had some useful technical info on the Nav Plus systems - the site has been archived although some of it is still accessible, the user manual and some of the images no longer display - but give it a try as it may be of use.....http://web.archive.org/web/200402...

RE: Recently acquired S6 with pics
Certainly looks good from a distance - saw you last Tuesday lunchtime at M23/A264, but got caught in traffic and never caught up.
Nice pics, hope to see pics of the new one soon.

Yes, what were the chances of that two days running!! I think describing mine as a 'Tidy looking car' was quite charitable - bl**dy dirty is closer to the mark!! Still, it got a wash yesterday so it's looking a lot more respecatble now - the wheels are even sliver again! I must say your S4 looks stu...

RE: Cambelts
Clive,
Thanks for your note, from your other post it looks like you were lucky with getting the work done when you did - as you say it could have worked out a lot more expensive than this. I think I'll be booking it in fairly soon, just to be on the safe side.
Cheers
Rob

Cambelts
Does anyone know when the cambelts are due for replacement and has anyone had them done yet? What sort of cost is involved and are there any other things that ought to be done at the same time?

Not seen any options in the manual or in the menus to specify this, but could be wrong - I'd take it back and ask the techs to make sure all the wires are properly located in the back

RE: Feckin Valves
Last visit to the tyre dealers they suggested filling them with Nitrogen as the tyres hold their pressure better - something to do with the molecules being larger and less prone to leaking out and also less prone to variation with heat, if you believe the science bit. Don't know if there are any do'...
