Re: Rs4 b9 pads
How about a crazy nut case who finds the car doesn’t stop when you need to chuck the anchor out? 😬 I had the same issue with mine - was an ex press car so could have been hammered anyway in the 6,000 miles it had done when I got it - swapped the stock pads for EBC Redstuffs - much better initial bi...

Re: Back in the fold!
Congratulations!
Mine was Misano too - looks fabulous when clean.
The Carbon Fibre engine cover is, sadly, no more than a self-adhesive plastic film - that looks like the real thing, but isn't. We found out when a few have bubbled up in the intense heat of the engine bay..

Re: What’s the difference between Sports Exhaust and Standard Exhaust
Audi are a bit naughty here.
The centre anti-resonator box is smaller on a Sport exhaust and you get more electrically fake sound in the cabin.
Paul here - best contacted via his FB page can fix it for you: https://www.facebook.com/Paulscarwelding/

Re: B9.5 RS 4 Sounding a bit rough
Listening to it there seems to be a bit of a knock noise, probably half crank speed - camshaft? When my 2020 F3 RSQ3 had a similar noise the dealer said 'normal' when in fact one of the camshaft actuating followers with a roller that follows that cam profiles was broken - eventually completely faile...

Re: B9 RS4 options
The C&S pack is a must have and even then, to my 65 year old ears at least, there still wasn't enough bass it's a case of finding the right car.

Re: B9 RS4 options
I had a 2018 B9 RS4 with the Sports Exhaust option and it sounded anything but sporty. Miltek do a system at big money or you can take a trip to see Paul @ PCW near MK: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3603810249747148 I have had a PCW done to my RSQ3 - sounds nuts. You do need to invest in an Acti...

Re: New RS4?
A bit quicker though - only available in black, shame.
Would be a lot more fun if Audi ditched the V6 and used the 5 Pot EA855 EVO - yeah I know it's transverse normally but that has bucket-loads of character and sounds simply amazing..will never happen, we'll get some sort of EV instead.

Re: Bouncing/choppy ride
Audi place a sticker on the end of the passenger front door I recall - with the recommended pressures. For my current RSQ3 I run the same pressures all round @ 36 PSI. The choppy ride might be shot shock absorbers, my RS4 has almost every option (ex Press car) including DRC. The feature robbed the R...

Re: Bouncing/choppy ride
Welcome, so the 1st question would have to be what kind of suspension have you got? The RS4 was available with an option - DRC - Dynamic Ride Control. If you don't know then the MyAudi App will enable you to check the specification of the car. I would have thought 41 PSI is kind of high on the front...

B9 RS4 roller rocker failure
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdlLMMsDcZc Curiously my own 2020 EA855 EVO RSQ3 also had two roller rockers fail trashing camshafts in the process which after multiple repair attempts under warranty saw the complete engine get replaced under warranty - multiple metallic fragments were lodged in oi...

Re: How much can an oil change cost?
I can recommend Vastec in Warwick - Unit 5 Lock Lane, Warwick CV34 5AG · 01926 259130. My RS has the factory 5 year/90,000 warranty so I'm minded to get the 'proper' services done by the dealer (Stratford Audi in my case) but for mechanical sympathy I have the oil and filter changed, by Vastech at 9...
