Been scanning through this post and I had a similar situation. Worked from cheapest parts upwards, kidding myself it wasnt the ecu. It was evidendednt it had been opened before so I wouldn't bet on a recon job. Fortunately a breaking Rs6 post came up, took the plunge and hey presto it was the TCU. B...

Something tells me this guy won't be buying that Rs6 as no one is willing to spoon feed. Probably for the better as these motors are big boys toys, and my mummy says I not allowed to share

Pretty sure the resistance has to be under 8ohm on the 16 pin plug. If it looks dry and clean when you take it out I would be surprised if it's the loom

I could give you my humped one and if comes up with a short to plus on either 2 or 3 and not 5 then to me me that would suggest the tcu. I checked the loom for resistance and replaced the box loom, but evidently it was the tcu. If your handy with a multi Meter, get a copy of elsa win and that will g...

I had the same fault, and it turned out to be my Ecu . Search my threads and all will be explained (well in case of my issue)

Thought I would add my tuppence to this thread for reference. TCU replacement sorted my fault.
