Re: Trunk cover rattling over bumps

All jokes aside, i had that annoying flapping aswell. Not sure if it is the same but it was the tension on the role that made the most noise, not the flap hitting something. I used some silicone spray and sprayed on the cover and roled it open/close a few times....kinda felt the cover was sticky bef...

Re: S6 or RS6

Forgot to mention, if you plan on keeping the S stock....well they you might regret it and be disapointed (power and sound). An S definatly needs a tune and some exhaust work, so yeah you again come closer to price tag of RS model.

Re: S6 or RS6

At the end of the day an 'S' is not, and never will be an 'RS'. If its the biggest baddest Audi you desire then go for an RS. I had the same thoughts before i bought mine but there will come a day when you are parked next to an RS or driving on the road and see an RS and wish you had made the decis...

Re: S6 or RS6

I was in the same boat few years ago, instead of going for a higher milage RS or base model (witch most are around here), i went for a lower milage with as good as all options. It has airsuspension witch allows for nice soft cruising or lower it and get decent roadfeel. The interior is almost 99% th...

Re: Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice

Yeah, you indeed need to take of the front undertray cover.
The lip indeed is nice....but you might want to add some paint protection film on it. The paint is very prone to stone chipping and if you scrap it...it will flex to some degree but will leave a white spot :p. Luckly i wrapped mine.

If not mistaken....079115611R
Atm your oil dipstick tube will be covered with a small black plug, it is located on the right side of engine between the coolant reservoir/engine.

Re: Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice

Bumper doesn't need to come off. I used double sided tape to position the splitter and then drilled the supplied bolts (having a lift or air suspension makes it easier).

Re: HELP!! OIL LEAK

My guess would be indeed the oil intercooler, since it is located on that side. It is an oil to air intercooler, meaning the oil is actually running through the (small) intercooler). Most likely it has a pucture. Couldn't be a leaking clap or hose but don't think that is common... Definatly wouldn't...

Re: Wanted eventuri carbon air box for RS7

Well it is a common misleading fact...i'm taking about the inlet pipes PAST the normal airbox with outlet pipes. So the two aluminium pipes after the accordion flex tubes that are normally hidden under the engine cover. If you want looks and money isn't an issue: MRC carbon inlet pipes (no link you...

Re: Wanted eventuri carbon air box for RS7

What i meant to say, if money isn't an issue (it kinda is i guess since you looking it secondhand section) the eventuri on itself isn't that much of a powergain maker. The real issue is the inlet pipes between the airbox (whatever type) and the turbo's. There are 3 brands that developed bigger tubes...

At you want one for....looks or what they claim? :)
*the real gain is in the inlet pipes witch eventuri doesn't adress. Just saying....
