Re: Bad oil leak?
+1 for the oil cooler pipes - that's exactly where my one went. For me it was the solid pipe.

Re: Christine is back
Bummer. Moved the car this morning. Two oil leaks. One is near side just inboard of the front wheel The second is around offside of centre of the rear axle. Need to sort this sooner rather than later. Bit of a pain as the car is driving beautifully. For the nearside front one, check the power steer...

Re: New owner of 2003 RS6 C5 Saloon
Regarding the washer jets - it can be easy to get the pipe trapped between the bumper and crash bar / strut on bumper replacement. Did that once and had a mild panic! I used some compressed air to check they would pop up OK when the bumper is off (don't go mad on the PSI)

Re: Headlamp washer
Strange that part 2 would be missing as well - its made up of a few bits. Essentially on pressurisation of the water, a part extends out from the bumper and sprays the water on the lights. Double check to see if it actually squirts water still. If it is missing, then water is going to be firing out ...

Re: Lower Front Bumper Air Grill
Thanks mark (if message was meant for me). My car is still at local VAG/MOT center after failing on unstable headlight, top fixings are fine but bottom two are broke, the boys at the garage think they can get repair kit but I'm not so sure, I've owned car for three years and only noticed when I rep...
Re: Info
Not specifically but it looks like its had a front end o/s collision at some point. Missing the lower grill and badge, non standard mirrors. Not sure if is the photo or not but the panel gaps look a bit funky on the o/s wing. Possibly leaking oil as well!

Re: Viper tuned TCU
I think it’s unlikely anything has changed in the TCU. Most likely is that it’s reacting to different torque calculations based on different data from the ECU. I would go back and look at the mixture and ignition timing. Maybe you’ve still got a small leak somewhere. Definitely worth checking over ...

Re: Headlining removal
Two boys here as well - 2 and 5. Although their hands are small enough to work in the engine bay, they lack the strength so at this point cannot help with maintenance!

A 3D printer would be great for prototyping these - do you know anyone with one?

Fuel Pump Bracket
Hi guys, I'm trying to get my fuel pump off (the one outside of the tank) and the clamp bolt is just spinning. I can't get a mirror let along a socket round the other side to stop it and I really don't want to start cutting so close to tank and brake line. Anyone know the trick to this? Bolt in ques...
