Assuming you have the 21s: Tyreleader have the R01 Contis in stock for £248 if you want a matching tyre. Personally I'd ditch them and go for the Michelins at £273 inc VAT (a bit cheaper than Zebede's mate) . I've seen them cheaper before when places are doing special deals. Thanks for the pointer ...

Turns out I can get one (of the Contis) from the UK shipped over in a few days, so will just have to wait. Narrow roads + luxobarge + oncoming idiot traffic forcing me onto rocks don't mix well. Tyres were only a month old but at least managed to get a run down to Monte Carlo done on them last weeke...

Just had a flat tyre last night and need my car back in service pronto. The earliest delivery for the same tyre is end of the month from my dealer, but they are offering 2 Pirellis for the front in a few days instead (that aren't cheap).

Has anyone mixed front/rear pairs and is it wise on a quattro?

I've been at my local dealer today and they mentioned the event at London Audi. Something about the R8 Spyder and TTRS being announced. Shame that it's a plane ride away or else I'd pop in.

Don't get me wrong. I, too, cannot imagine Audi updating the car with the new software. But when the FL was launched with the new MMI, Audi specifically made the point that one of the benefits of the new architecture is that the MMI functionality can be updated in existing cars to keep them current...

I've been using Tidal app on iPhone on hifi mode recently. It's supposedly super high quality and the amount of mobile data it uses is immense. Satisfies the large choice & high quality when connected via USB.
