Re: Which spacers and where to get them?
You can do 15mm without lowering. Reckon you should go down at least 20mm though or it might look a bit odd!

Re: Rs6 monster 1200 hp
Personally think Jon's never had 1000bhp. Think it was just the usual mapped car with catless Miltek. Packaging and heat is always going to be the issue with the car and it just didn't seem to have anything on it special enough to warranty another 300bhp on top of what everyone else has.

Re: Part no. for mirror covers?
I got mine carbon dipped. I have tested them to 160mph and they are fine! The weave looks very similar to the OEM carbon elsewhere i have on the exterior - really happy with them.

Re: Picking up RS6 Performance Saturday - Any running in tips?
I didn't even realise you could move the selector in S mode I was happily driving for months in the D doh needless to say when its now in dynamic or Individual and S its a wild thing. That's my point with people walking away from test drives thinking the RS6 is too quiet. In the right mode and when...

Re: Milltek Cold Start
Isn't it just a higher idle speed whilst it's warming up?

Re: Picking up RS6 Performance Saturday - Any running in tips?
I am more worried about labouring; when cold i always override the auto as i feel it goes into 5th way too early cruising and i feel like it labours. For race cars i've heard so many different things, but ultimately oil takes FAR longer to warm than water and is best done with little revs as you hav...

Re: Picking up RS6 Performance Saturday - Any running in tips?
I went easy on the tyres for the first couple of hundred miles, but i used all the performance from new (of course, after letting it get warmed up!).

Re: BYe bye Audi Sport / Quattro GmbH
I think the ZF8 is pretty fantastic, never found it slow. My other cars include PDK boxes and a fancy Hewland sequential in my race car, so it's not like i'm just being a fanboi. Think it suits the RS6 perfectly in fact. As Mike has said, going to wait until i see a new Pan in the flesh before blowi...

Re: BYe bye Audi Sport / Quattro GmbH
As you suggest, this is going to be - what - a £150k car in Turbo form? It's not like you can walk into Porsche and demand a 15% discount either. All very nice and all, but you could get a Ferrari FF for that. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/ferrari/ff/ferrari-ff-2dr-auto/6284332 Th...

Re: Collected RS - first thoughts
It's Matt metallic, new colour last year. Looks great in all weather. Noise is only an issue for me with the toddler in the back. When I put race pipes on GTr he never went in it. Far too noisy. It was stupid loud tbh. We are talking on full chat you could hear it coming a mile away loud . Knocked ...

Re: Collected RS - first thoughts
Lot of downforce on your GTR my friend! The matt purple looks cool. Trust me, the RS6 does sound pretty insane if you drive it like a loon for a minute or so. It seems to learn and then respond with more theatrics from the exhaust. We got my mate with the Merlin RS7 to drive past us so we could see ...

Re: Collected RS - first thoughts
ABT one is the tuning box offering and allows you to retain warranty as a result, so really you are paying for that. I've got to be honest, having seen a friend's new Merlin Purple RS7 i think it is an overhyped colour. Basically, RS4TDI's Instagram has been a PR machine for Merlin, and his photos m...

Re: RS6 0 YEA reviewed. Akra sounds wicked
I don't have either and agree the Miltek is better sounding. The Akrapovic is way too over-engineered for what is a bit of piping you'll never see, whereas the Miltek quality is a bit iffy. If Akrapovic did a stainless steel option (which they won't,as they want to remain premium), that would be the...
