Re: Bye bye to the RS4
I'm in the same boat! Moving from my beloved Sepang Blue B8 RS4 to am M6 next week. It has been an absolute treat to drive it for the last 2,5 years, 40,000 km - never missed a beat, and when it's pouring down like today in Melbourne I don't think anything else comes even close what it come to perfo...

Re: Tyre pressures
Yes, MPSS are still the way to go, ditch the P-Zero's, it will transform the car. Couldn't agree more! Superb handling, sharper response, more precise and quieter than P-Zeros! But be quick, I understand Michelin is in a process of replacing them with "touring car" tyres which are not even remotely...

Re: Farewell Review to ‘2016 RS4'
I could have written this review... Except my verbal talents are surely nowhere near on that level, but reading the words of poetry makes my heart sing... And yes, NSW police have an RS4, but not in normal police duty. They use it for "community service", whatever that means... Probably they have it...

Re: B9 RS4 ?
New B9 S4 was just launched with 8-speed, the explanation given was the too high torque the V6 turbo produces. The same engine in higher tune expected (I think actually confirmed) to be in B9 RS4, so dual clutch not an option, I think we can put this discussion to bed now... What I heard, and this i...

Re: Just why?
Interesting discussion, and lots of people with strong opinions of a car they have in general any first hand experience. Define "performance car"? As a comparison, I don't think anyone reading this forum disagrees that a B8 RS4 is a performance car? Yet, there are lots of people who would say that a...

Re: RS4 Phone set up in car.
I don't think you get more than calls, contacts and music streaming, sorry... That is if your RS4 is B8... I believe there is an Alpine head unit upgrade available in the UK (not in Australia, though), that may support much more than the original, but for a pretty hefty extra fee...

Re: B8 RS4 Sound System Upgrade?
Some people have upgraded the sub in the boot with a similar sized but better unit (and amp) with good results. Its as with anything, its how deep are you pockets.. Thanks, any idea what's the size of the standard sub? I'd be keen to consider swapping at least front speaker elements, the sub and th...

B8 RS4 Sound System Upgrade?
Hi, anyone upgraded RS4 sound system? I mean the artificial that plays music - nothing to upgrade in the natural sounds [emoji12] My car has B&O upgrade, but if there is one thing that annoys me it's the sound quality... Not after "competition level" system, rather a stealth appearance but still qua...

Re: Living with an RS4 - comments please
Tyres and wheel alignment are critical for RS4. You can't make a firm suspension soft, but that's not the nature of the car. But if you have all the settings spot on (and that doesn't mean "factory standard") the car is so beautifully balanced that you need to go to cars 2-3 times more expensive to ...

Re: Service Indicator...
At least here down under RS4 B8 servicing schedule is 15k km (10k miles) OR annually, whichever comes first. From what you say I would question the service indicator reset at last service... Not sure, but there may be 2 parameters to reset, time and mileage - if you have done appr. 6k miles since Oc...

Re: Torque Steer
So, I had my RS4 geometry aligned by a specialist yesterday and I have to say that the problems experienced with the RS6 that come across as 'torque steer' when particualrly when making overtaking moves will most likely be down to suspension geometry. Had a test drive before any work was completed ...

Re: Michelin Pilot Super Sports
No, if anything I'd say PSS is more quiet than P Zero... Or maybe it's an illusion as the instant comparison is between new PSS and end of its life P Zero...
