Re: Time for something new-Goodbye RS6 Hello AMG

Now THAT is awesome! Any interior pics. Alpinas are brilliant wagons-tend to have a higher BHP than advertised traditionally (to not overshadow the M cars) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I am really enjoy it and they are so rare too which I also like. It has many attributes but noticeably, at h...

Re: Time for something new-Goodbye RS6 Hello AMG

It looks great - hope you enjoy it. Never had an AMG so look forward to an honest insight in a few weeks.

It took me a long while to decide what next and I subsequently went with this... it's been flawless, AFAF and I've been extremely happy with it

Re: MY21/22 Update?

Hi I'm just idly wondering whether to change my 2018 RS4 at some point over the next twelve months given that it will be 3+ years old and will have done 40-50K miles by the time i change. I know there was a minor facelift last year but does anyone have the inside track as to whether there'll be a f...

Re: Braking Problem In The Wet

Baz... sorry to hear you've had a bad experience like me and, I agree, its terrifying. Audi UK were uninterested in taking it any further, after approaching the technical guys in Germany who scratched their heads and insultingly told me it was just a characteristic of the car. I was so appalled by t...

Re: Winter Tyres

I'd had two and after four years of ownership decided the technology was getting on a bit and I needed to move on. Plus I had the 'braking in the wet' issue to do with Wet Brake Fade Compensation which Audi UK were uninterested in resolving. Aside from the faulty braking system, which was apparently...

Winter Tyres

Afternoon All, I have 4 x (almost new) TS 860s 285/30 21 Continental Winter Contact tyres with only 2000 motorway miles of use and still over 7.5mm of tread depth on each tyre. Purchased in November 2019, they are wrapped for clean transportation and are soon to be listed on Ebay in the next week or...

Re: auto parking

I used mine once and it was the only time the wheels were damaged as it struggles with low kerb height. Nice to have for resale purposes but that's it in my opinion.

Re: £100k Budget Decision

Very Nice Iain... looks stunning too and I hope it serves you and the family well. The Alpina is currently with me in Sweden - what a drive that was... 1800km and it was absolutely faultless.

Re: Java Green or Arrow Blue

Blue all day long... I do really like the green but there is a lot of it and I would always consider resale at a later date.

Re: Production Halted...

Nope, have not heard anything about it and have been talking RS6 with a couple of dealerships in the last week. Did he mention the reason for this hypothetical halt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I asked why and all he said was he couldn't answer that question... seems very odd to me as I coul...

Production Halted...

Afternoon All,

Just been speaking to the Head of Business at my local dealer who says the RS6 production has been halted and is possibly not expected to start again for another year - anyone else heard this ??

Re: £100k Budget Decision

0-60 is around 3.6s for the Touring and top speed is 200mph. Fuel economy is not terrible either and I am getting around 21 mpg with a mixture of driving. You don't feel the power quite the same as the RS though, which can be quite dangerous, only realising when you glance at the HUD and it is readi...

Re: £100k Budget Decision

Be interested to know your impressions Scotty and whether you got a deal. I've been thinking about an Alpina for some time now, almost tempted to go for the B3 Touring or look for a low mileage D3 and have a fun car alongside. First impressions, after only a few days, are very good. You can natural...
