Re: Instrument Cluster

Unfortunately the milage is cluster dependant, swapping another cluster will only show that clusters mileage. A few years back I sent my cluster off to have the display changed for the hi Res style with the fancy display. While it was away I put in a spare cluster just so I could use the car until i...

Re: Koni Sports and original springs adjustment

I had these on my previous RS and loved them, my current one still has original DRC but once this goes I will be going back to the konis again. As far as adjustment, I believe mine only had one setting on the front but 3 on the back for the perch height. I put it on the lowest and just ran that. Hei...

Nice one, thanks Jay

I had considered the Wagner grill route also, but thats a last resort kinda thing
I had also intended to go this route. However I ended up throwing out the Wagner grills as they were complete over priced chicken wire crap.

Re: DIY Solutions

Made up the missing front CF engine panel clips. Easy enough, if I still had access to a lathe then it would look a lot more professional but hand tools only for this one. A few 1/4 - 3/8 BSP gas fittings, two 3/8 bsp male-male joiners, two 1/4 bsp lock nuts plus the pressed metal nuts that I slott...

Re: Suspension problem

"Standard springs with Koni shocks will be a pretty good setup for road use I would have thought" ^this^ Too late I know, but this is a great option, 2nd best only to DRC in my opinion. I've had the luxury of having driving many rs6's with different setups and most were awful. My previous ride had k...

Re: Something is clearly not right.....

Not mapped...... yet. Ill wait until the engine has to be dropped and then replace the downpipes and cats with something a bit better then on the dyno she will go. B7 was faster more agile more engaging to drive, this is more like going to the hardware store, walking down the hammer aisle and looki...

Re: Rear strut mounts

Thanks e everyone, I figured the RS has fancy aluminium Ones and all the standard stuff got steels, but I guess not.
Seems inconsistent on Audi's belalf, might explain why both mine have steel rear sub frames too but others have aluminium ones,

Re: Rear strut mounts

When I put the number in google, everything pretty much said it's been superseeded by the "E" number.

I was just curious to see if this was a specific rs6 part or a change due to the material.

Rear strut mounts

i am in the process of changing out the DRC on my winter ride to koni's The rear strut mounts are looking a little rough due to corrosion, fortunately i have a brand new spare set from an A6 i had a few years back. They are the same part number 8E0 512 121D , except my new ones are 'E', so i guess a...

Re: Wagner grills

Thanks for the pic viper. Is it me or does that not look arse? I expected much more from Wagner, these seem really poor. I tried to put the tabs facing back, then the "we" was backward, not a big deal but even then the fit is pretty <beep>. I'm thinking these are going in the garbage and the fogs ar...

Wagner grills

I just received a pair of grills for the fog light delete from Wagner. I was just curious if some one could post a pic of how they were secured the inboard side with the screws. It seems a little strange as it looks like the screws will be visable on the outside ? I've looked but can't find a decent...

Re: DRC Plus replacement Parts List

Thing to remember is most coil overs are intended for fast road use / trackdays and so are more tuned towards this. The DRC was designed to make a large comfy sedan a little more sporty when pushed. The focus being on trying to maintain the comfort but also reducing the roll in corners . It actually...
