Rs6 C7 2014 - 54k miles FASH, Warranty
I bought this car new from Audi. Full Audi service history and additional services and oil changes from my specialist (oil changed every 5k miles). I have purchased a warranty every year, and again this year so the car has an all components warranty from Audi until February 2026. It has only ever ha...

Re: RS6 - North 500 Coast Rally
I've done the west side only - up to Durness and back down. Once you get far north a lot of the roads look like this: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@58.2552163,-4.755047,3a,83y,291.8h,68.23t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1so9CqlfDHUR6MbMoW5ZVNlQ!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo0.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3Do9CqlfDHUR6MbMoW5ZVNlQ...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
The trim kit is ok, a bit flexible, I suppose that is fine for not damaging. It did the job and now lies in the infrequently used tools drawer :D I'm unsure if other model numbers will work with the car - I popped mine off before ordering and had a look at the part number then searched for that - yo...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
I bought a second hand one on eBay for £30 (Audi A6, S6 (C7-4G) 2014 Aerial GPS antenna 4G0035503A MJA11387) and fitted it in an hour or so using the instructions in the link posted here: https://imgur.com/gallery/Ab22QyG I also bought a cheap trim removal kit from amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Re...

Re: Oil changes..
In the C7 I changed oil every 5k miles. It's only a couple of hundred quid and it keeps the engine in tip top condition. This is especially important if you're doing lots of cold short journeys.

Key left at the front door, 2nd key left at the back door. Take the car and GTF out my house before you wake the kids up.

Re: RS6 handling...
I think with a high performance car on wide rubber you expect a little “squirming” but yesterday I pulled out to overtake a van on a straight bit of road and the car moved itself back to the left hand side without any input from me. Luckily it was after I had gone past! Some tram lining, etc. I exp...

Re: Do I buy the C7 or C8?
I have a C7 Rs6 for general day to day and family driving, then an S1 Elise with a supercharged Honda in it for track days - it’s a good combo. The RS6 will do everything you want it to (Mine is a pre-face life 64 plate that I've had since new) the supercharged rocket keeps you honest and with your ...

Re: Steel wheels
Increasing the unsprung weight on your car will increase the wear on the drivetrain, as the heavier, the harder to accelerate. Also, the suspension takes a bit of a beating as the springs need to work much harder to keep the tyre fully engaged with the road and therefore the less consistent the grip...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
I saw a few on fleabay for £120 but they're unpainted so you have that to contend with. I bought the correct colour (second hand) for £30 - thought it was worth a punt. Also found this: https://imgur.com/gallery/Ab22QyG so it does look pretty straight forward. Even if the cable itself is corroded it...
