If they're all the originals then best to replace the lot - it's amazing how bad they can be without appearing to effect the way the engine runs. Possibly but I doubt it, more likely it's the sensor playing up when it's warm. I'd not be surprised if you found a coating of metal dust on the tip of the sensor as such things love to attract metallic debris. I'd clean it up and see if it made any difference.

The original listed sensor for the RS6 was 059919523A - that was superseeded to 059919523F about 10 years ago.

Are you sure you've bought the correct pads? The C6 RS6 (the V10) has 4 pads in total at the front, the C5 RS6 (V8) has 8.
