Re: TPMS Sensors...
So just got my car back from the garage, turns out its the antenna behind the rear bumper that is at fault. I've been reading mixed messages about this, do you have to remove the rear bumper - or can you get access to it if you just remove the honeycomb grill? Also anyone know the best place to get ...

Re: TPMS Sensors...
before buying check it is a sensor and not another component in the system you really need to get it on a diagnostic tbh Yeah thats the plan. Its going in for a service in a couple of weeks, so I'm going to get them to plug it into the diagnostics then. Just trying to do my homework so I've got a p...

Re: TPMS Sensors...
Thanks for the replies, I have toyed with the idea of just turning them off. But it is a handy function if easily fixed - I'm thinking that one of the batteries have gone so hopefully just fitting new sensors to each wheel should fix it? Has anybody had an experience with these or anything similar f...

TPMS Sensors...
Hello, A dash warning light came on this morning, the amber icon of a flat tyre with a line through it. Am I right in thinking this is to notify me that there is a fault with the TPMS system? Does anyone know of a good (cheap) place to get OEM or decent not OEM replacements? I've had a quick look on...

Re: New tyre time - Yokohama?
Yay I have a Yoko friend! lol :bigwave: Put them on the day after I bought the car and gotta say I've never had any issue with them, they stick like glue. I did buy them before I started posting on here, and probably would have got Supersports, but nothing has made me want to change before they run...

New tyre time - Yokohama?
Hi, The tyres on my Daytona Avant have finally given up the ghost, my local tyre guy recommended trying some Yokohama Advan Sport V105S. Has anybody had any experience with these? At £135 a corner they are £50 cheaper than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4, which if they are decent adds up to quite a savin...

Phew, sounds like I was worrying over nothing then. Thanks for all the replies, I'll keep an ear out for it getting louder but in the meantime I can just enjoy the noise

Re: High pitched whirring / whistle noise with revs???
Might be worth posting a video here showing the noise. The b7 does make a supercharger-esque noise and it can be quite audible especially when cold I found, but now you're tuned into it you may think it's worse than it actually is. It might be nothing. I asked the mileage question as I wondered abo...

High pitched whirring / whistle noise with revs???
Hi, I've recently noticed a high pitched whirring type noise coming from the engine when its revved. It seems most noticeable when putting your foot down in 1st and second gear, it almost drowns out the exhaust note (without S button pressed) if I have the window down. I can't tell if its doing it a...

Re: Clutch Time
I just got a quote from a local independent specialist of £1920 inc vat for the clutch and everything else needed but not including the fly wheel, which would be an extra £842 on top if needed. They'd want the car two days.

Re: Clutch Time
DMF from TPS was quoted as £765+VAT, but after some good advice on here I ordered one from Rockauto.co.uk who are in the States. It's a LUK DMF077 and inc shipping and customs worked out at £400. Delivery due on Monday which will be 4 working days from order so the service is excellent. I've also o...

Re: Clutch Time
I'm supplying all the bits (inc dual mass flywheel, LUK clutch kit, master cylinder & slave cylinder) and been quoted £280 labour to fit everything at a local VAG Specialist with a good reputation. If you go to Audi and need a flywheel, you'll be in for well over £2k total bill. If you don't mind m...
