Thank you both.
I guess I will have to get a new starter now. Which to me means change the alternator as well “while we are at it”

Re: Anyone know anything about the W12 A8s?

My owner manual says you can tow start the RS. Doesn't tell you exactly how though!

Re: Anyone know anything about the W12 A8s?

Not a hint at all. It's always started first time and instantly. So total surprise. Glad it did it there though and not miles away from home.

Re: Anyone know anything about the W12 A8s?

Well it was lucky I didn't go trolling the RS around any dealers. Took it into my usual garage to get the washer bottle changed and the little git decided not to start after I'd parked it blocking in several cars and generally getting in the way. Stuck starter motor. Luckily they did free it off and...

Ooh. Those look quite good. My alloys are a bit sad looking. How much do a set of 4 normally go for?

Re: TA Technix Intercoolers

Those TA ones said they aren't for use in road traffic?

I did find somewhere that does rebuilds. Will go and see if I can find them again....

Here's the one I saw:

Re: Anyone know anything about the W12 A8s?

The other choice, which is off the wall, is a mini electric level 3 with an opening sun roof which is about as far away as you can get.... 911 996 interior looks a bit basic as well. Also the one I've seen seems to have had 4 ditchfinders fitted to it. I'm assuming the selling dealer has done that a...

Re: Now thinking about 911s...

Decided a later Audi might not be a good idea. A lot of tales of massive oil burning on all engines in the years I'd be looking at. The LWB ones seem to be a bit cheaper but they won't really fit in the garage with enough room to get around the car easily. The standard length ones would be just ok. ...

Re: 2003 RS6 engine issues...

Take it to a specialist to have it looked at. It'll save a lot of time and effort. Unit 20 up in the North West is considered the go to place but that might be too far away. Could be anything at all. Fresh VPower is also a good idea. It keeps the octane a lot longer than a lot of the others. Battery...

Re: 21 year old MOT

Driving it home is on the list as well. Failed fog light bulb is far less serious than a failed indicator for example. Fog light you might not even use. Check to see if there is one on anyway as I think it looks like there should be two on these cars and I'm pretty certain I had it queried once then...

Re: Anyone know anything about the W12 A8s?

I quite like the colour as it's not a common one and it's not an all black interior. I daren't go and look at it as there's a good chance I'd have to sell a kidney and buy it...
