Changing chain tensioners!
Another good one from Super Ron. How to change the Chain tensioners and do a cam belt and water pump without needing the engine out. He has got some Chinese tensioners but is using genuine everything else including genuine chain. Will it bite him in the bum?! https://youtu.be/rcgoq6-Lza4?si=nhSkbgEi...

Re: Odd one...
The replacement F125 seem to be so bad it makes you wonder whether it wouldn't be better just making one with a few wires and some sticky backed plastic. Can't be less robust!

Re: Odd one...
That sounds similar to the issue I had. Think it was the F125 in the end as that is involved in whether it will start or not. Changed starter motor and it was exactly the same. Changed the F125 and the issue went away as far as I know as I sold it a few months later. You'd turn the key and nothing. ...

Re: Secondary Air Injection System error codes
The SAI is more trouble than it's worth. I had a brand new one and it had drowned that within a short time. Code it out. Blank all the stuff off. Make sure any coding doesn't over fuel as that risks the life of the Catalytic converters.

Re: Engine build and 6MT swap
I have seen a few on YT that show you how to mend plastics. They often demonstrate on car bits like broken bumper mounts and such like. You can get new plastic to melt and shape into what is missing and apparently there are such things as plastic welders now. Good idea to make a carbon version thoug...

Re: HVAC unit
Isn't it the temp sensor / connection to temp sensor for the fan that has packed in not the fan itself? If it wasn't making any weird noises in the last weeks I'd think it could be that. Also with the pollution sensor also not working maybe it's locked out ventilation? I'd check the fuses for it fir...

Re: Power steering questions…
I didn't think it had variable assistance either but others seem to think it does. Is it a market area thing or a LHD specific thing to have or not have it?

Re: Power steering questions…
Looking around it seems it was quite common to take out the relay to remove the variable assistance altogether. I'd think you'd have to get a relay and pop it in and see what happens.

Re: Power steering questions…
I'd definitely change the fluid. You don't want bits in it.Then check the screen thing again in a few weeks. I assume there's seals where the pump sits, maybe that is the cause of the bits? Do they all use the same pump? You could flush it out then use a pump off another car and put that one on it. ...

I don't know. It might be clogged. I have no idea if there's a good and safe way of cleaning it all out.
Did you take out all the old power steering fluid and replace it?

Re: Power steering questions…
No. It's normal weight power steering. Is it worse turning one way rather than another? Some of the front steering bits can go stiff with lack of use or wear. Mine was a bit heavy until I had something changed but can't remember what it was. Check front tyre pressures are ok as if they're low then a...
