Re: RS4 B7 02071 - Headlight issue Local Databus
Are the lights still functional when the DIS warning shows? I had a similar fault when I purchased mine and it turned out to simply be one of the door plugs come loose. Totally unrelated to the headlights but it would still show on the DIS as a headlight warning and the lights would go out briefly. ...

Intermittent Electrical Issue Resolved
TL;DR - Check your door plugs! Many moons ago I made a post regarding an electrical issue I was having with the convenience system of my car. Whilst driving, intermittently, the headlights, AC, window motors, wiper motors etc. would stop working and become non-responsive for anywhere from 5 - 30 sec...

Re: Major Correction Detail - Mugello Blue Avant
Somewhere in this cars history it has had a major accident. It's a good repair, but to the trained eye you can tell that the shop has replaced the roof and rear end with that of a saloon!

Re: Brake pad retaining pins
Last time I changed my front discs and pads the driver side had a pin seized solid and I ended up having to break it to get it out. Couldn't seem to find replacement pins for that calliper type and ended up making one myself, but if you do happen to source them I'd love to know where from ready for ...

Re: 20 x 10.5 wheels all round - tyres and offsets with SS
Thanks all. Love them CV1's, but I was hoping to run 275 / 30's. I guess they will rub too much. Anyone got any pics of some 20x10.5 wheels with 255 tires so I can get an idea of what the stretch looks like in this setup?

Re: 20 x 10.5 wheels all round - tyres and offsets with SS
Recently seen this post when looking into getting a set of 20" Vossen's and they are running 10.5 x 20" all corners. Anybody here achieved this as I'm interested in going for it myself.

Re: just a thought about the coking up
The valve itself is a fairly polished surface and that still gets mucked up. It may be beneficial but I doubt it would be significant enough that you would notice.

Re: Cheap premium tyres
Believe it or not, but Amazon seem to have some competitively priced tyres too. If you got prime it's free delivery too I guess, will have to get them fitted yourself though.

Re: Water in boot well
I had exactly the same problem today, was taking the front wheels off so I had to get under the carpet to get my locking nut socket and the bottom left section of the polystyrene tray had water in it. Couldn't find any trace of where it came from, no watermarks on the liner or trim, no broken or ben...

VCDS Coding Issue
Finally got around to having a bit of a tinker with the VCDS today and attempted to recode some basic modifications (windows on key fob etc.) Anyway, I made sure to read up on how to go about it before starting, printed off a list of my current module coding so I had a baseline to go back to and the...

That is phenomenal. I'd like love to think mine will see this number on the same engine. Would be infinitely more impressive if it's the original timing chains / tensioners too.

Re: Engine oil (again)
I did quite a bit of snooping on various forums and such, eventually took the plunge with 20L of Fuchs Titan GT-1 and certainly no problems thus far, only put about 3000 miles on the car myself though.
Think it was closer to £85 though.

Re: AP Racing Front Discs
Was looking to get my discs skimmed and put new pads on as I'm getting a decent amount of shudder under medium - heavy braking. Haven't owned the car long (2 months or so) and am not sure when the discs were last changed, that being said I'd be interested in a set of discs ready for when I do decide...
