Re: MPPS16
you need to copy the immo from your original ecu or do the immo delete on the new ecu then it will work.

Re: camshaft timing+ vvt phasing , measuring block 90 , 93

camshaft timing+ vvt phasing , measuring block 90 , 93
still working thru issues on the avant. :audibash: intention is to double check belt timing and see if the vvt solenoids are operating or out of spec. so looking at vcds measuring block 90, 91,92,93 if 90 is within spec does that refer to timing of the belt ie. static timing . my thinking is that ti...

Maf wiring / troubleshooting
So I've been trying to log MAF values using me7 or vag-lite and not getting a good connection but values bank1 much lower than bank2 , this lead me to inspect the Mafs and check the wiring.. mafs both good as tested on a 1.8t . Input voltage is low ~1.8v where it should be 12v? Green/yellow striped ...

Re: Dropping the gearbox out
The jack for the gearbox is on pit floor yes , one of those tall ones . The box is one heavy mot##fker. On paper there is around 60kilo difference between auto and 01e . Gonna weigh them both and get an accurate figure with fluids etc,

Re: Dropping the gearbox out
Drivers side turbo had to come off to get to a bellhousing bolt. Some braided turbo lines were in the way and a bitch to get past. Dont look original to me so might be easier on a stock car. All came out after that 'relatively' important bolt. Just didnt fancy taking the whole lump out , but there w...

Re: Dropping the gearbox out
On stands , but is over the pit. Engine is held on a brace bar. Gearbox being supported by a gearbox jack( tall jack with cradle) front subframe is off.
