Re: Recall Oil Strainer Turbos - Recall code 21H7

Picked mine up this afternoon, wish I’d never bothered getting the recall work done now! Had to return it after driving approx 20 mins, the car now feels like it’s NA, no power at all, lumpy idle and hesitant on pulling off. Tech seems to think it’s a blown gasket on the throttle body which means an...

Re: MOT Fail

I’ve just upgraded mine recently, yours do look different internally to mine though? I’ve got carbon mirror shells and only had to remove 2 screws and pry some clips apart. I did have to use quite a bit of force to get them apart though

Re: Recall Oil Strainer Turbos - Recall code 21H7

I have my car booked in at Derby Audi in July. After a few conversations with the service department, the cost of the oil and filter is on Audi and will be deducted from the cost of the service. However they did originally try and say it would be chargeable as part of the service! Sent from my iPhon...

Re: Car stalling on startup

Most likely to be the fuel pumps, I had the same issue, new fuel pumps cured the issue.

Re: Carbon rear diffuser damage

Pretty simple job to remove with the bumper on, 7 torx’s screws and 4 metal clips to remove then just a case of easing it off. Will take a bit of persuasion though, mine was packed full of gravel and dirt between the diffuser and the bumper.

Re: Attention to all people who are having hard start issues when car is warm

Those of us that have replaced them have had issues, hence the reason for changing both pumps.

No one is saying to change them without cause.... if you’re having starting issues, lumpy idle or the oil is smelling of fuel, chances are the HPFP are failing.

Re: Attention to all people who are having hard start issues when car is warm

No error codes at all, just dodgy starting issues. Had the battery tested and that was all good. What convinced me was the fact the oil had a very strong smell of fuel to it, sure sign that the pump/ pumps were leaking... since changing them I’ve had no issues at all. I didn’t buy brand new replacem...

Re: 15mm spacers

I had 15mm spacers all round, the rear was fine but had rubbing on the front. I’d say 12mm would be a better option on the front.

2014 64000 miles and stock. Since fitting the new pumps I’ve had no false starting issues at all.

Re: Attention to all people who are having hard start issues when car is warm

I got round to changing the HPFP out along with new oil and filter due to the oil being contaminated with fuel from the suspected leaking fuel pumps. Pretty straight forward job and took no longer than an hour from start to finish. Both pumps showed signs of leaking from the shaft seal with the spri...
