Re: Intake opinions

So did you have the Stage 2 on a different car, or is it just that the Stage 1 was the biggest improvement?

Re: Intake opinions

Is no-longer-developing really an issue though? Surely it’ll be a case of they’ve taken that generation as far as they want, and I suppose I’m ok with that. Ultimately Stage 1might be as far as I want to go, and I know it’s a slippery slope but this is my DD and I do about 60miles a day, typically. ...

Re: Imminent S3 8P Sportback - Tuning

Nige, As mentioned on the other post, seems I have a Revo Stage 1 already I'll get it checked out and see if I can live with it. Glass half full: car came with a Revo intake (£249) and the aforementioned Stage 1 (£499), which is £748 which is better in my pocket than having to be shelled out right o...

Re: Intake opinions

Nige, Thanks for that, however, when I went to pick up the car it appeared that the main dealer wasn't aware that the car had......a Revo intake and a Stage 1 tune already applied. I need to take the car to the nearest Revo outlet to confirm whether it still has the map (I think it does as a quick b...

Intake opinions

Any thoughts on intakes: VWR Revo First one is quite a bit more expensive than the other, and I can see a single pipe being smoother than a multi-part. However, Revo one is an open filter in a section of the engine bay, while the VWR is taking a feed direct from the front of the car. Anyone got any ...

@marc1, what sort of Stage 1 levels do MRC get to? I can't seem to see anything about numbers on their page.

Imminent S3 8P Sportback - Tuning

So, new to me S3 8P S-Tronic and I'm thinking a Stage 1 tune from the off. Previous car history includes: Lotus Elise S (220bhp), B8 S4 (333bhp), Lexus ISF (417bhp), Lotus Evora (275bhp). I'm not a strangers to left field cars, or a little more power than is absolutely necessary. A little market res...

WANTED / PX - S4 Avant

I'm thinking of stepping out of my late 2009 Lotus Evora 2+2 back into an S4, this time an avant. If there is anyone out there that has a B8 Avant with S-Tronic at ideally a sub-£20k price point that would entertain a PX with some cash my way too (I know, a lot to ask) then message me. Photos of the...

Ah ha, forgot I had a login from when I had my S4. Sent an email, but this may work too.

Is this still for sale?

Re: S-Tronic 'Issue'

Really, so why should it only happen in full auto and not when on the paddles?

I also have a fault logged for the gearbox:

8962 - Clutch 2
P17D7 00 [096] - Pressure too High
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame

Any ideas?

Re: S-Tronic 'Issue'

I did ask if there were any 'outstanding' items applicable to my car when I spoke to the service booking people. They said it had had two recalls, but none on the gearbox side. I think one was a rear light unit and I forget the other, but it wasn't really relevant. I know I've got an MMI / satnav up...

S-Tronic 'Issue'

Been on the forum since July when I picked up my S4, but haven't really contributed much yet. Now I'm noticing something with the car and figured I'd ask those in the know. Bit of background first I think. Car is an 09-plate (2009) S4 saloon that I picked up in July with 72k on the clock. As part of...

Re: FS/Swap - Audi B8 S4/S5 Milltek X-pipe for front resonat

So have you offloaded your X-pipe somewhere in the end? I have a fully standard 09 S4 and was looking for a mild exhaust tweak.
