Standard RNS wants an RGB input for TV/video. Most cameras produce CVBS, so you need to convert the signal.
The OEM TV tuner will do that for you.
I don't have a TV tuner so have a separate converter box, no point in giving details as it's not been made in years.

Re: Phone holder solutions
What's the tailgate like immediately above the rear numberplate? I fixed a rear camera on my D2 S8 (similar vintage) immediately above the number plate, inside a cutout I made in the numberplate surround, pointing down at about 45 degrees. It covers from the top of the bumper to just above horizonta...

Re: 2015 65 reg 939 miles!
Pretty sure I've seen this discussed elsewhere and it's been owned by Audi UK.
Quite likely most of those miles have been a journalist thrashing the hell out of it, but isn't it designed for that anyway?

Re: Car Standing-Battery Dying-Kill Switch
I only found out about the original alarm when I was fixing the climate unit over the holidays. That was a surprise. What battery am I looking to get hold of to replace? Most Audi alarm sirens are sealed with an internal rechargeable battery. You can try to get a replacement unit, but it will likel...

Re: Car Standing-Battery Dying-Kill Switch
Your alarm is usually triggered by a signal from a control module, with the battery disconnected that's not going to happen.
It's not set up the same way as a house alarm which has various anti-tamper mechanisms.

Re: Car Standing-Battery Dying-Kill Switch
Personally I'd prefer the "Halfords" (other suppliers are available) style as the screw-down mechanism gives a very secure electrical circuit. I wouldn't trust a "blade-in-slot" design to give a good circuit long term as the jaws could flex apart over time. But your locking sequence sounds like it's...

Amazingly similar to a D2 S8/A8, though the shims are in a different place.
Had to do one of mine a while back because one of the nylon pulleys disintegrated.

Re: Car Standing-Battery Dying-Kill Switch
Where to fit it is always the issue. Someone I know fitted a battery isolator to a 2002 vintage A4, the screw-down knob type, it fits easily in the battery bay behind the engine. Similar to this type that Halfords sell: https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-accessories/interior-car-accessories/richb...

Re: C7 and London ULEZ
Does sound very weird. Both my cars have private plates on and both are identified and treated correctly re Congestion Charge and ULEZ. Interestingly one of them (2016 era) regularly gets mis-identified by Insurance databases as being Diesel when it's Petrol, but it is a fairly rare model of it's ra...

Re: C7 and London ULEZ
Does the checker show your car model correctly?
And does your car have an unusual history , e.g. import, new engine etc.?
Either way your likely only option is to complain.

Re: C7 and London ULEZ
Go online and check it. https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle-35896 There are some weird anomalies in the Euro 4 categories so don't assume you're OK. Strangely my 2002 D2 S8 IS recorded as Euro 4 compliant so NOT subject to the ULEZ charge, despite being built several years before the...

That might be the one I bought a while back.
Somewhere I have a drawing with the dimensions on, I'll dig it out and post it.
I suggest someone with a sample pipe to hand and suitable measurement tools verifies that, I can't!

I've used Oponeo before and found them good and competitive. They seem to be operating though most stock is usually on the Continent.
My preferred supplier though is here: https://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/ but they seem to be temporarily shut to UK orders due to Brexit!
