Out after 8month SORN but now oil warning ...
Took the car for drive after 8month SORN. Tyre pressure bit low as expected, but the oil temp indicator appeared in dash flagging 94, i could see very 'light' smoke coming out of front grill (near side). No sign of oil leaks under the car when checked. nothing obvious showing under hood. i was going...

Re: Stolen
really sorry to hear that.
i park mine in garage which is away from home, but on two occasions i parked it outside and on both of those occasions I had severe nighmares and basically couldn't sleep normally.
its really feckin booolocks situation.

Re: Buckets to comforts
I was thinking of swapping comforts for buckets, but after reading this thread, i'll probably leave it. don't like sound of airbag warning, and inflatable bolster issues. i didn't even know i had inflatable bolsters as standard on comforts !

Re: RS4 VS C63
turning to looks, the new [and old] c63 wins hands down.
the interior of new c63 is out of this world.
in terms of estate vs saloon, i say merc has not done current c63 justice i.e. saloon is much better looking than the estate and so i have it on my shopping list subject to depreciation.

Re: 996 Turbo
the 996 model for residuals is C4S, low milage pukka condition / background.
the turbo and other variants of 996 are very very long term investments.
the turbo is quick though. great value for bundles of bhp.

Re: What is it with other drivers?
i was out last weekend, idled upto a roundabout, opted for outside lane knowing the power was there to come inside. some chav pulls up next to me - middle lane. i didn't see him until I pulled away and then he made his silly clapped out Peugeot van banger smoke veer towards my car as if he was going...

Re: JCWF Full System Swap Out - Feedback For You !
Nice review .. Any drone sir.. the thing about this setup is, one can make the car sound remarkably civilised with light right foot. Other cars with so called sports car sound are impotent to me now. the bar has been risen. was out in my 911 993 today with young one (girl 12) and asked her which on...

You wish I was trying to keep it short and straight to the point, but your reply was even shorter so you beat me there I give that one to you. In all fairness the JCWF on RS4 experience warrants a write up, but its too late in the evening just now. I'll get back to you guys with a low down so stay ...

Re: Trickle charger?
No need to do that if you get a flat battery just pop the bonnet and connect up under the battery cover. The negative terminal is not as obvious, it's just a piece of metal, think it looks like a bit of pipe from memory (it's been a while though). oh. the piece of silvery coloured metal pipe pointi...
