Re: Jack stand position
I found a place, just infront of the rear wheel but further in near the centre of the car. Dunno what it was, but it was black steel with a hole in it and it was solid and flat, so it seemed to make sense.

I would never put a stand under the jacking point

Jack stand position
If I jack up the rear of the car to remove a wheel, where is the best place to place a jack stand? The pinch welds are too deep, and obviously the jacking point will have the trolley jack under it.

R8 Shopping - best bang for buck
Currently in a B7, been looking at B8 RS5's, RS4's at around the 50k mark. Never really considered an R8 but all of a sudden it makes sense. I reckon I'd lose way more on a nearly new RS4/5 than I would an R8. My question though, is which R8 offers the best value at the moment? The pre facelift V10'...

I'm starting to look at RS5's as well now. Their value's are pretty strong too. RS5 forum is very quiet though.

Re: Calling all you B7 guys running 10x20" wheels
I was looking at C6 RS6 Wheels, 9x20, Et38 and would have gone for 265/30 tyres but in the end decided 19's suit the car best.

Re: Looking to buy, new, nearly new...
So I started looking at B8's a few weeks ago I've noticed that prices have gone up. One car I was looking at, went up by £2k a couple weeks ago and has just gone up £2k again!!

Re: Hello and Alu trim question
Do newer RS cars have the same problems with these trims going milky? and assuming the window trims are completely aluminium, where as the grille, mirrors and boot strip are plastic that's been painted?

Am i missing something with this car? Most expensive RS4 on the dealer network by some £4k and it's not SE/Nogaro or exclusive.

Re: matt aluminium --> black styling
buying used so there's always a compromise on what my ideal spec would be and I'd rather make that compromise on something that's relatively simple to change, rather than something that's not, seems like retro fitting most exterior options has simpler than interior ones.

matt aluminium --> black styling
If I were to buy a car that had matt aluminium styling and wanted to change it over to black styling pack properly(no wraps)..What's likely to be the cost? - new front grille - Paint diffuser trim and front spoiler to body colour? - new window surrounds - new roof rails (is this a headlining removal...

Re: Used Car Dealers - Rant
It's even as frustrating just browsing online, why can't dealers(even Audi dealers) list the correct spec of their cars???? It's a real pain looking through to find the exact spec. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201503171810394/sort/default/page/8/usedcars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew...
