Re: Faisal's RS4
I've agonised over this for months - but I've finally decided that I'll be selling the RS4. I'll probably put the advert up towards the end of the month, and I'll be trying to sell through the forum in the first instance. It's such an epic car - but it just doesn't get used any more - a couple of t...

Re: Faisal’s TTRS (Turbo Turd mk2)
The brake kit went on recently. I made the jump to this excellent setup I had on my last TT; 2-piece 368mm discs (BTCC), and AP-9660 6-pot calipers. I’m using Motul RBF 660 fluid, Reybestos ST45 pads upfront and Carbotech XP8 at the rear. To help get some more air to the brakes, Billy Cloude of Clou...

Faisal’s TTRS (Turbo Turd mk2)
Brakes - With the pads, fluid and braided lines all previously sorted then the issue, IIRC, is likely caused by the OEM 370x32mm discs which are not "sided" (or handed) and therefore the discs internal cooling vanes are just garbage and don't cool-down the disc "properly" for anything even close to...

Re: Faisal’s TTRS (Turbo Turd mk2)
Trackay 2 - Snetterton August 2024 Hot day! 30 degrees, dry and sunny. Main change since last outing - got some new seats! I wanted to get an oil cooler in, but my local garage weren’t willing to attempt install of the kit I bought. Previous best (457bhp mk1 TT): 2:19 Best lap in the TTRS: 2:15 Vid ...

Faisal’s TTRS (Turbo Turd mk2)
INTRO It's been a while since I started a thread on a car forum - doesn't look like anyone uses them anymore, but it’s a much better way to document your ownership, so here I am! I sold my mk1 TT trackcar ("The Turbo Turd" , "The Turbo Hairdryer") earlier this year after i got fed up with it. It was...

Re: Faisal’s R8
Long time since an update… It’s been on the to-do list for a long time, but I finally got round to a front end respray to clear up stone chips. I decided to go with Panelcraft in Swindon who are an Audi approved bodyshop, and also based next to a good detailer (Pro Detail UK), and RE Performance (Ri...

Re: DON'T DO IT ???? 20' RIMS
Which brand 20” rims did you have?
I’ve been running 20s for most of my 6-7yrs of ownership with no cracks or buckles.
