RS4 B8 Milltek exhaust
Milltek resonated exhaust, been on my car for a couple of years and as you can see it’s in pretty good condition. For me, it gave the RS that bit more voice, as I found the standard sports exhaust just too refined. And there’s a lot more noise when the valves are opened. Comprises two downpipes (MSA...

Re: Xenon headlight bulb issue
Xenons are fully covered under my Audi extended warranty. Just had one done at Stratford Audi, and it cost just the £100 excess, but the retail value was around £1100 for a bulb and controller. Sadly, it’s still trouble as it comes on for about 45 seconds then goes out, but they put a 2yr warranty o...

Unexpected alarm trigger...
So the last two nights, the car alarm has gone off around 11pm. It's been sat most of the day and there's no critters inside it. It's had me puzzled, and my first thought was key fob battery. I am now suspecting the car battery is on its way out, as it's just gone off again: low volume peeping and i...

Re: Tyre Prices
Tyres on the drive.com are within a quid of Costco. Plus you don't have to go and look at tut you don't need, as they come to you.

Re: Gearbox oil...
Even Merc back-tracked on 'box oil changes in recent years. Oil is cheap compared to a tranny replacement or overhaul. I know what I'd be doing, and it doesn't include leaving it to chance. Oil immersed clutch plates and gear sets create fine debris just through regular use, and that's before high p...

Re: Theft excess - WOW!
Has the NFU insisted on any additional security devices? Are does the offer of fitting extra security help to tame this issue?

Re: Would you buy an ex Audi press car?
Never had a press car that's been found wanting for spec. They are usually rammed and want for nothing, just to showcase options. And Misano is an ace colour btw

Re: 2015 B8 RS4
Excessive rear disc wear is a consequence of cruise control on modern cars, which apply the rear brakes to wash off speed when going downhill, for example. Just had a DRC pipe failure - all done under warranty by Stratford Audi. My warranty runs out at the end of Nov, and I'll buy a year's warranty ...

Re: Gearchanges - Double clicking
Been doing this a while on downshifts - easy block change from 7 to 5th, and a useful feature when you want to snap it out of a lazy D mode.
A lot of dsg's will do it, but it's in the timing of the paddle flicks, so you need to be swift with the double click.
