Re: My B7 RS4 Paint Job So Far

Some amount of work in that. Did they have the headlining removed to get the roof rails off? It’ll look class when it’s all back together. Where did you go for the new windscreen?

Re: Should I or wait

It’s not a big job to get the bumper off, but if it’s all going to be lovely and fresh paint, there’s always a risk you’ll damage it during removal or refitting. I’d say change the cooler and pipes before it’s all put back together. Out of interest, who’s doing the paint for you? I’m at a similar de...

Aircon leak but static pressure test ok

Noticed my Aircon not producing cold air, and Econ light staying on. Sure enough, VCDS scan revealed G65 pressure switch signal too low, code 00819. I’ve never had to charge the system so took it to local Aircon guy, recharged again and all seemed fine. Left car a couple of weeks and same fault agai...

Re: Yet more DRC/Coilover questions

I’d stick with the DRC myself, by the time you factor in the cost of high spec coilovers plus updated ARB’s and fitting, it’s comparable with DRC repairs. Depends what parts of the DRC have failed, but it is a phenomenal system for road use.

Fitting new springs - DRC disconnect req’d?

Following on from recent thread, just checked my rear springs as car sitting lower at the back, sure enough I’ve got a broken rear spring. Was thinking of fitting a set of H&R lowering springs but to do the fronts does that mean disconnecting the DRC and then having to recharge? If it does, I’ll pro...

Broken, I think. Hence wanting to make sure that hasn't caused damage elsewhere.
Cheers for the info, think I need to check mine out too as I've noticed it is lower at the back than I remember it ever was. I might opt for the H&R springs if they need changing.

Re: Sitting lower at the rear, especially the driver's side.

When you say both rear springs had gone, were they broken or just worn?

Well, in being looked at - apparently there is a levelling sensor there too, so just a case of waiting and seeing...
Be interested to hear the outcome of the investigation. I don’t think there is a levelling sensor though, it’s a purely mechanical/hydraulic system.

Re: rear end too low due to DRC? (another coilover question i guess)

If there’s no obvious signs of leakage from the dampers or pipe work, then you could just get the system recharged, my local Indy charges about £150 for this.

Re: Ignition Coilpacks

Cheers for the info gents. Was just looking on carparts4less this morning and with their sale discount code at the minute I can get full set of Bosch coils for £190 delivered which I thought was pretty good.
