Re: It's time!

Yeah, the alcantara interior was one of the reasons I got this one. It's a great car, but I want to get the Ultima going and that needs a lot of time spending on it (see other thread), plus a few changes in life mean it's best to let the RS go.

Re: Headlining removal

Thank you both. Yes, that's what I've done - and I was planning hot glue too, so good to know it was successful for you.

Re: Headlining removal

@Chris - when you did this, did you remove the front plastic surround for the lights - or did you leave that in situ (and the alcantara attached around it) and just work around it all?

Re: Gearbox oil cooler pipes

To get OE pipes, Steve's approach is decent. However, I've made loads and loads of custom pipes for many vehicles & engines - if you are DIY minded, you could certainly make your own up, or I'd have no issue using the rscarparts.de part.

Re: Driveshaft part numbers.

Refurb? You can just replace the joints on both ends - really easy job once they're off - and they're mechanically "as new" then. Honestly a really easy job, especially if you have a 4lb lump hammer.

Re: Avant Rear Wiper Motor Leaking

I can see a starline one on ECP - which I am sure would be fine too. :)

Avant Rear Wiper Motor Leaking

Sorting out a few things on the RS at the moment, one of which is the rear wiper motor leaks washer fluid. All over the inside of the wiring at the rear, which has caused the boot lid microswitch to fail. Fortunately had a spare latch "in stock", so that bit was easy. Anyway, the rear washer leaking...

Re: Lake in front passenger footwell!

The hose for the rear window washer is routed through the front passenger side and has a connection in behind the glovebox that splits and slowly soaks the carpet if unnoticed. However, if your rear washer is working correctly this won't be your problem if soaking has suddenly occurred, just a head...

Re: Throttle Body

Do it! My rover v8 runs ever so well on it. Will be doing maybe 600 miles on it this coming week. That’s a self built MS2.

I’m happy to give you a hand as much as you need to make it all work nicely
