Re: R8 V10 plus 2014 Advice please peeps !

Gents, Just picked the car up this AM and took the scenic route back to London. Car is v special indeed, so different to the RS6 in how it builds the speed magic above 6k rpm.It almost has an analogue feel to it...sport button only, no digital cockpit, no drive select ...simplicity which I really li...

Re: R8 V10 plus 2014 Advice please peeps !

I've also missed the high revving N/A engine, RS6 much different in character, you look down at the rev counter in the R8 and think its time to change up yet theres still 2500 rpm to go :P

Re: R8 V10 plus 2014 Advice please peeps !

Mike love the RS6 performance wheels, have the standard car myself which is ballistic enough so extra 50 hp would be interesting. With the R8 didn't really get to floor the throttle on the test drive as roads were very damp so didnt want to take any chances..how does it compare to an RS6 in terms of...

Re: R8 V10 plus 2014 Advice please peeps !

Funny that this topic should pop up now as I've just bought the estoril blue one from Basingstoke, that colour with the carbon sideblades & black wheels is just stunning in the flesh. Yeah the bucket seats are v snug apparently that's why a lot of cars didn't have em specced...think that around 80k ...

Re: New Mowtaa

Got the same yday for my RS6, only thing of note was 3 yr full breakdown cover with the AA...had this already through a credit card
so kind of a waste but they weren't to know that...would have preferred a track day invite as well tbh!

Re: Sepang Blue RS6 (C7) Collected

and I had similar thoughts with RS4 vs RS6, dealer had both cars in stock when I visited and I wasn't sure if the 6 would be worth the extra over the 4 but my god it really is a massive step up over the 4...easy to see where the extra 20k goes... the interior is prob the best I've ever sat in, such ...

Re: Sepang Blue RS6 (C7) Collected

lovely car congrats, love that colour...would have said the LED lights were a must have really make the car look that bit meaner! Retro fitting the sports exhaust is a nice option to have as it really adds to the aural pleasure...picked up mine last week Daytona grey with the black gloss wheels and ...

Re: Insuring the new Car

its pretty hard to be restrained for 800 odd miles with 560hp under the right foot! Not to worry plenty of unnecessary drives to bed her in properly. The car seems to handle very nicely for a 2 tonne wagon, steering light and accurate (in comfort at least haven't tried in dynamic yet), car belies it...

Re: Insuring the new Car

variety is the spice of life as they say...with the running in is it super important to keep the engine below a certain rpm for that period? First brand new car I've actually owned been taking it relatively easy so far only 120 miles on the clock but will have to make alot of unnecessary journeys to...

Re: Insuring the new Car

thanks phantom yeah think my excess was less than that for some reason even tho car valued at 75k...will check how much it is. I'm a tad confused on the sports exhaust setup, on drive select I usually use 'Individual' with engine sound set to Dynamic, however if I don't pull the gear lever down and ...
