Re: Ebay steering wheel badge

So I removed the original badge, and machined the face square. Then stuck the replacement badge onto this with superglue. Much happier with how it looks now  So how exactly did you remove the existing badge? Did you have to remove the entire lower (silver section) of the steering wheel? No ...

Re: Potential sale mug loon

I would definitely advise you to take an extended test drive in one. I have come the other way, 2005 E60 M5 to 2006 B7 RS4 and the cars are honestly miles apart in the way they drive and make you feel. Dont get me wrong the noise from that V10 is incredible, but that’s where the positives ended for ...

Re: Ebay steering wheel badge

I assume this just sticks on top of the existing badge? It can do yes, however if you're anal (like me) you won't be happy with it. The problem is the original badge is slightly curved, so once the replacement is stuck to it, it just looks wrong. So I removed the original badge, and machined the fa...

Re: Running without TPMS

Double checked Channel 61 and the figure is still on my subtracted value of 3331.

No issues on the drive to work this morning anyway so hopefully just a bit of a brain fart by the car after the change.

Thanks for the input :beerchug:

Re: Running without TPMS

hmmm, not sure then. No other messages in the scan? Mike No pal. Thinking about it now, it’s not actually a pressure issue fault, its a communication fault. So i’ll see if keeping the sensors in the boot keeps it happy! https://i.postimg.cc/dtZknHL2/835-C8-D48-252-C-40-A2-B5-BD-5-FA6-C9-D892-A5.jpg...

Re: Running without TPMS

what did you do to code them out, it should be: Select -> 17-Instruments -> Adaptation -> Channel 61. Subtract 512 from whatever value you find there. You'll continue to get errors when you do a scan but the EML shouldnt come on. Mike Cheers for the reply mate, yep did exactly that. Was all good at...

Running without TPMS

Is anyone successfully running error free with no TPMS? Just had my wheels refurbed so decided I would leave the sensors out to avoid any problems down the line with failures. I have coded them out through VCDS so not getting any of the visual errors or dash like a christmas tree, however after abou...

Airbox flapper

Done plenty of searching and found the great guides on here related to this. Carried out the test today using VCDS and it is not operating. However when engine is running the flap is open. Once car is off and vacuum dies off the flap closes. This appears to be working in the reverse of how it should...
