I've just had exactly the same problem, the cause turned out to be a failed speed sensor that provides input to the esp. All up the stealership billed me £202 inc VAT to sort it. £55 to confirm problem, £41 for the part and the rest for labour!!

If you want to get it done, get someone who knows what they are doing. Should be an H7 55W. If a lamp has gone, then look at changing them for OSRAM Silverstar or Cool Blue Lamps, I changed mine last year and was totally blown away by the results.
