RS6 C5 for sale
Morning all. Sad to say it’s time to let this move to a new owner, RS6 C5 with 78k, 54 reg. Over the time I have owned the car its been garaged and only used on dry days as I have other cars for daily use. This is the second one of these I have owned and one of many S and RS models. Along with servi...

Re: Block coolant drains
Is this really needed ? When I did my cambelt I drained the system by pulling the rad. Then re filled from the coolant res once it was all back together. Let it run till hot and topped it up again. It’s done around 800 miles since. The level hasn’t dropped and it runs a perfect temp. I’ve always don...

Re: Radiator Hose Retaining Clips
Mine fell apart when I took them off for cambelt last year. Worth checking as unless replaced they will be about to perish

Re: Aircon not working diagnosis
I swapped out the compressor myself then took it for a re gas. I didn’t know about the dryer till i read this. To be sure I will get the gas changed so I’m happy it’s sorted and was emptied properly as it hadn’t worked for ages till fixed it. Can you tell me where the dryer is etc so I can swap that...

Re: Aircon not working diagnosis
Hate to hi-jack the thread. But it’s been done a few times to me so all fair in love and war 😂 My air con seems to take ages to get cold. I know it was hot today but took about 20 mins to get proper cold. New compressor last year and re gas etc. No codes on vcds. Is that normal or am I missing somet...

Re: Changing OEM maf seals
Yes there is a tool. And it’s a load of <beep>. I got one for about £30 and the sodding seals wouldn’t go in straight not matter what I tried. Honestly I would read the thread on here recently about sorting them. Then buy the apikol ones from America and fit them. So much easier and loads better. I ...

Re: Suspension Poly Bushes
Mate. I’ve used powerflex before and found them
Perfect. Did the rear of my rs4 and had non issues. Have just replaced the rear tie rods and anti roll bar bushes on the 6 and they don’t feel any different

Re: Current best suspension set up for c5?
On the rs6 I’ve had the following
H&R coil overs = <beep>. Avoid
Pss9= very very good and great drive however very expensive and you don’t use the total capability unless you track the car
Standard spring and koni shocks = current set up and good all round to use

Re: First spring drive out joys
Tie rods bushes swapped out with polly. New bolts and anti roll bar swapped for polly as well. All tracked and back on the road. Feels so planted now
