Re: 1st Service
As an aside, im noticing that the car has two service intervals showing. One for the oil, and one for the "inspection". Am I right in thinking the latter is the "service", and the former is just a basic oil change as the car has decided it needs changing due to quality etc. In which case is there an...

Re: 1st Service
By the time they can fit in the oil change, Ill be some 400-500 miles over the time when it stated it needed an oil change. Then again, I guess if thats the soonest they can fit me in, then they cant expect me to stop using the car.

Re: 1st Service
Trying to get mine booked in for an oil change. Got the oil myself (Castrol Edge - as thats what was in the top up bottle provided) as it was half the price Audi wanted. Even at £160 for the rest of the service, they cant find time to fit the car in for an hour until the 7th September. Tried local V...

Re: Akrapovic Vs Milltek exhaust...
Paying for just its name and exhaust note? The Akraprovic is made from Titanium, not some poor quality stainless steel that rusts away after a few years. That's what you're really paying for, there's probably 3k in just raw materials for the Akraprovic system. At £12/Kg for pure titanium bullets th...

Re: RS6 vs F Type V8 AWD
Nice videos for comparing the performance of the rs6 to a car average joe can relate to as "sporty", but on the whole comparing a 2 seater sports coupe to a 5 seat family estate car is a bit pointless.

Re: Advice pls for new old git
Just worth throwing in with all the discussion about towing etc, that you can't have a tow bar with the dynamic suspension. So dont go ordering dynamic suspension and then looking to have an aftermarket towbar. May be teaching my granny how to suck eggs here, but just in case its been overlooked.

Re: Official Audi RS6 Avant 'performance' edition - 605ps
I wonder if the co2 has been affected and nudged back over the 225? Hardly a huge cost in the great scheme though. If the practical difference is in excess of 10k, then bragging rights and warranty aside, then it would appear that circa 5k dropped at MRC/similar for 700+ hp would need more cost effe...

Re: Jon Ollsson on the streets.
He sold it back in early June. So, theres a lot of noise about the "most awesome car project ever" etc, loads of PR photos, it never sees a dyno, drag or track, never gets driven in anger, and then gets punted on. Ready for another project doing probably just the same thing. Move along, nothing to s...

Re: New C7 Power upgrade
Audi wouldn't remove a marker because it has been run with modifications. They can't vouch for the extra wear and tear this could have subjected the car to. I'm fairly certain that a VAT dealer would run any car through their diagnostics system before agreeing to take it in. After all they will have...

Re: New C7 Power upgrade
For me, the question isn't what is and isnt covered by the warranty if I stick a stage 1 on the car, Im fairly confident I will lose all drivetrain and associated warranty. I can weigh up the pros and cons of that risk, large or small. The real issue for me, which I haven't seen much evidence of bei...

I believe the wording from the full t's and c's is: This insurance does not cover any injury, failure, loss or damage caused by, arising from or in connection with the following: 6.Vehicles modified in any way from the original manufacturer’s specification. The significant part being "caused by, ari...

Need to sort this issue myself to. A set of the standard 20 in rims would do the job.

The lights are different shapes both front and rear, so they won't fit the bodywork correctly if you simply swap the light units. Something to be aware of.

Re: S8 Plus must mean RS6 plus next ??
If it ever does, then I doubt it will detract from the regular too much. The premium will no doubt be substantial just for little other than pub bragging rights, and I doubt if the power would be anywhere near the 730bhp that you can get from the likes of Litchfield etc for £3k or thereabouts.
