Check which way the front disc vent holes spiral and settle your concern.
But defo don't re-use the pads.

Re: Discs
Theyre directional for a reason.
If your mechanic/garage advised you to swap the pads from one side to the other, I would seriously have concerns about their credibility.
Don't scrimp or bodge on brakes with these motors..... if you open the brakes - change the pads.... minimum.

Re: Insurance - again
I couldn't care less what the insurance cost is...... if you mod your car, its an excuse for higher premiums.
I love my RS, so I don't mind paying to be covered, even if its hiked up. Blame the uninsured and fake whiplash claiming wan#er <beep> heads for the premiums on policies.......

Re: Service dilemma
Get it serviced at Audi. I only use Audi for scheduled service work. Its more expensive but it will be once every 2 yrs. Its the only stamp the general buying population will take a shine to. ....or.... do it yourself and forego the stamp. These are expensive toys. The bills are naturally gonna be b...

Re: Suspension noise
Yep, i did just that. Couldnt be happier with the DRC system. Its far and away a superior set up than any fixed coil-over upgrade. I had a rear shock fail recently, made some horrible clanking and thumping while i hobbled around. Had both rears changed and a full system recharge, and i love it. Comf...

Re: Oil on spark plugs
Obviously you mean there was oil on the outside of the plugs and not on the electrode part thats inside the combustion chamber? If its the first time youve seen this, then it could easily be some residual WD40 if the previous person has given it all a spray before popping the coul packs back on. It ...

Re: What's the lowest and safe voltage for dashcam to shut ?
I could be wrong, but i think you will find that the dashcam set up is normally better hard-wired to the ACC or switched power supply, and the camera itself will automatically start recording as per its own set schedule while powered up. If you were planning to have it continuously recording even wh...

Re: Bumper removal guide
Thats a really clear guide. Once youve done one, its so easy to do again..... just those horrible self adjusting rubber cushion bolts at the front are a nightmare. Wish i could source new ones!! I replaced the horrible rubber ones as I had some cosworth ones in the garage that fit perfect I found i...

Re: Can't get gears
Hello mate, My first thought would be the master cylinder if you reckon the pedal didnt feel right. Are you able to select gears with the engine off? Has it been ok since or is it still unable to engage gears with the engine running? I dont think its the common clutch sticking issue, but worst case ...

Re: Head light flicker
Precisely the same as i had when i first owned the car.
Changed the HID tubes and all was cured.
I was told it was definitely a ballast unit..... which would be the thick end of 400 quid....
2yrs on and still working fine!
Change yer bulbs mate

Re: Bleeding ABS pump
Oh ive done it..... all too easy if you dont keep your eye on the resevoir level when bleeding. The only way to free the trapped air in the pump housing is by running the ABS pump manually via VAGCOM/VCDS during bleeding. Even a microscopic amount of air will shag your chances of a firm pedal and yo...
