Got a call from the local dealer. Audi UK have agreed to order a new car and for me to drive my current car until it's built and delivered.
Happy with the service and delighted they agree a new car is the best option!

That was exactly my argument.

Just curious, but why would Audi agree to give you a new car if it had spent £18.5 k on an engine under warranty, which is now fine and free from errors ? Why did they say about your DRC knock ? Because its only a few months old and its already had nearly £20,000 spent on getting it to the standard...

**UPDATE** So at the minute the total warranty bill is around £18500. The new engine went in and still they were getting errors, but a quick change of the spark plugs fixed that, apparently (why they put all plugs into a new engine I dunno???) Anyway, car was ready to pick up, I rejected the car and...

Knocking front suspension.

Engines failing.

Apart from that, all good

Quick backfire when turning at the end of the road, maybe 5/10mph.
Engine management light came on ,stayed on for about 30 seconds then off again.

Took into Audi, they put a camera into the cylinders and noticed scoring and marking etc.

3 months old.
3000 miles

Not through fault of the driver. Front right suspension makes a bad knocking noise when going over speed bumps too!

Im hearing theres quite a few people with engine trouble with these cars?
