Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5

Thanks Shopp! Oh good point, I didn't think of that! Yeah thruxton is very cool, that was my first time round it! Definitely seems to suit the car pretty well (tyres overheating after 5+ laps was the limiting factor), powering round church corner at 110mph was fun and then braking hard into club cor...

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5

Took my barge to Thruxton last week with my younger bro and a few friends, had an epic time! Re: Simply Audi Day Out Apr 29th

If it’s not raining? Don’t you have a roof? [emoji23] Haha, knew I'd get stick for that  It's not much fun being a wc user in the rain, but even worse is putting wet dirty wheels on my back seats! I need to get a seat cover or towels or something. @RIV cheers mate, even if sunday is a wa...

Re: Nurburgring 14th july

Was a great weekend, bumped into Covkiller on the Sunday (was good to meet ya!). I had 3 laps, my co-pilot had his first 2 laps and really enjoyed himself too. Driving up via Spa was pretty cool, nice roads and we were treated by getting to see some LMP1 cars testing. :D Don't worry Pule333, you'll ...

Re: Help All 4 wheels buckled

Sorry to hear about your vibration issues. £5K is a fair spend if indeed buckled wheels are the issue. Why not get yourself down to tool station and buy a magnetic base and a dial indicator, chock three wheels, car in neutral, jack up the remaining wheel, set the magnetic base on the ground and ind...

Re: C5 RS6 to B7 RS4 ?

How did your friend like the '6 shop?

Heardy, I'd be quite happy with the RS4 and on twistier roads they'll be fun to drive whereas the RS6 is a bit awkward due to tall gearing. I love the top end of the RS6, but I rarely see >160, so not sure it's worth it.

Re: Headlight washer jets (bumper off?) + oil leak help

The rocker cover gaskets are clean and dry so it's gotta be around the filter housing... I can see the oil leak being a nightmare but I'll try re-doing the crush washers and keep my fingers crossed, hopefully that'll be it. One of the braided hoses going to the oil cooler needed replacing recently, ...

Re: Headlight washer jets (bumper off?) + oil leak help

RE: oil cooler, it might be the banjo bolt that holds on an oil line to the oil filter housing, seated on two crush washers. If you look down in the engine bay just past the black water pipe and exhuast manifold on the drivers side, you can see it. Think it's a 12mm and that might need nipping up (...

Re: Headlight washer jets (bumper off?) + oil leak help

the washer jets are deep inside the bumper so bumper-off I reckon. Oil leak could be the pipe that always needs replaced with the 'bufkin' pipe, which sits inside the oil filter bracket. Part 13 in this diag: http://nemiga.com/cat_spares/etka/audi/rs6/290/115800/ Thanks mate, I guess taking the bum...

Headlight washer jets (bumper off?) + oil leak help

Hey all, I've had fun and games with a local garage that won't be named. They've done my paintwork which was good, but it seems like they haven't put a hose clip around the headlight washer jet (O/S I think), and it's popped off. Any time I fill the washer bottle it just pisses out of the bumper now...

I used Ultimot.de for a pair of front discs when I first got the car I think, they're very good. German efficiency lol.

Re: Track day..

Not totally aimed at you Mark, but it's frustrating when the idea gets perpetuated that you have to be in a 911 GT3 or Lotus, Caterham, stripped out clio whatever to be on track. As long as you're respectful to other drivers there should be no issue. Whatever, I'm bored of this topic. If you want to...

I reply to 'it's no sports car' with: The definition of "RS" (RennSport/Racing Sport). These are mind blowingly good cars, i think you lot have fallen to the family wagon disguise lol. These are wolves in sheeps clothes, not a chavved up A4/6 They're no slouch on track and will embarrass a lot of tr...
