That actually sounds better than what I expected. Does the car sound different from inside the cabin, or due to the well insulated cabin do not hear a difference.
From the clip the V8 sound is a bit more noticeable.

Re: backfiring in intake after flap delete
Best bet is to deflated the manifold, remove the pre-cats and have the car mapped. Rob from Nicholson motors(Doncaster), who knows his RS's really well will map it for way less than £600. I had mine done, hugh difference.

My original wasn't an AGM, so I replaced it with a Varta, same spec for circa £130.

Re: Darkside developments / fab mafia downpipes
What did you notice just with the downpipes fitted, seems like in the video, they didn't rev the car in standard format, but when the downpipes fitted they did. Didn't really sound much different, but in person I'm sure would have sounded better. Is there a real improvement in sound, do you get more...

I'm quite surprised at that, so I'm assuming they are not very restrictive. You could try removing the centre resonator, to see what difference that makes.

Yeah, its a bit slow on here. I'm thinking of changing my exhaust too. I was going to start with removing the down pipes and replacing with straight pipes. The centre i was going to leave in for now.
How has the sound changed on your RS. Do you get a bit more burble?

Re: Flap delete, carbon clean & how to achieve a louder exhaust note without breaking the budget ?
Ady i think you have gone the long way round with the manifold. When I did mine, I nudged the caps out with a long bolt by tapping with a hammer. Once flaps removed, i locate the caps back in place. So when I deflated, it cost just the loctite. Exhaust wise, res delete, remove you aux radiator and f...

Re: DIY thermostat swap
So update on my RS. No codes found in the diagnostics.
How can we possibly check to see if it is the thermostat. Is there a water temperature test that can be carried out.

Re: DIY thermostat swap
My light came on the other day, 'don't exceed 6k rpm'. Cars temperature is normal, but as a precaution o haven't driven the car since. I have booked her in at my local specislist. The cars fan runs momenterily after switch off. Will get the cars diagnostics read, but is the general consensus that it...

Looking for a RS mechanic specialist in the Yorkshire region
Morning all,
I've ran 3 RS4 B7's in the past, now I've entered the B8 fold.
Wanting to know if there were any garages that are local to Yorksire. I know there is Unit 20 but they are a bit too far.
Thanks in advance
Rahail

Thanks for that. Unit 20 are very good. I have used them before. Bit of a trek though. Well recommended.
