Re: Roof Bars / Bike
Yeah, it's mine. The towbar neck is detachable, lives in the boot in a bag. You wouldn't know there was a towbar fitted once the neck is off. On mine the carbon diffuser was pre-cut underneath from the factory. I'm assuming that all RS4's with standard suspension would be the same. Cars with DRC can...

Re: Towing / Tow Bar
I think people are right above though. If you want to fit a towbar, you must get a car without DRC.

Re: Towing / Tow Bar
It’s definitely possible. The Carbon Edition even has a pre-cut hole in the bumper for the towbar. I can’t manage to link the post, but have a scroll down to 2nd May on here: https://www.facebook.com/towbarexpress The bar is a little bit tight in the pre-cut hole, but we didn’t fancy trying to cut t...

Re: Cruise control
Yes I'm a big fan. Just driven the A9 with 120 miles of average speed cameras. Reset the trip every time I passed a camera I cancel the adaptive cruise when catching vehicles, Ley the car coast and resume when the speeds match. Works brilliantly If it's adaptive cruise it would control the speed fo...

Re: Car valuation
That wont effect the box and diff service as that is outside the main schedule. Thats 1200 quid ish This is true, and it's easy to miss. When mine went in for it's 32k service they specifically warned me not to miss the oil change at 38k, because in their words "It will break if you don't change th...

Re: Car valuation
FWIW I've just traded in my 14 plate, lots of options but no pano roof, with 34k miles for £31k. Obviously could have got more private, but I couldn't be doing with the hassle.

Re: Help with DRC please
I put up with the knocking until a few months before the warranty ran out and then took it in.
First time they insisted on re-pressurising them. Made no difference, so it's in next week (a month out of warranty) for new front shocks.

Re: So what do i replace RIV with next?
I placed my Alfa order this afternoon, assuming the finance goes through ok that is. :) £7k discount on a 'friends and family' scheme from my local dealer because I've known them for years and my company does work for them. I did find an offer of 16% discount on a fleet pcp lease scheme, but with th...

Have you driven an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio? If not you should. I'm just waiting a call back with their final offer, and I'll probably be ordering today.
Ok, it's rear wheel drive, and they are definitely lacking interior technology wise, but it's more than made up for by the way they drive!

Re: Boot Rear Parcel Shelf Slider
It's just a manual slide, not electric like the A6.
As for rattles, not sure, check in the spare wheel well for anything sliding around maybe?

Re: What are people looking at next?
My car is 3 years old in May, but it looks like I'll be keeping it for a bit longer as I just can't find anything to replace it.. New S4/5 are just not 'special' enough. New RS4 not out until back of the year/early next year, but do I really want another one? For me, 4x4 is a must, so that rules out...

Re: Pulling to the left still after alignment and wheel chan
Hi, Sounds like the issue I had when I first got my car, took me 4 months to get it sorted. The issues with the steering is basically that the centre point of the rack is 'virtual' not a fixed point. So if it's out of calibration you get the funny out of balance feeling and the wheel out of centre. ...

Re: Why do some cars have 'RS' and others 'RS 4' on the dial
Early models had the RS4 just printed on to the dial:

Later models have a 3d chrome badge which just has the RS:
