Re: First service query/lost service book

they cant just "lose" the book. the car is worth less with a duplicated book to lots of fussy buyers-the type that buy rs4s for decent money the stamps require to be stamped in the original servicing dealers format tbh -anything else is not representative of the true history of the car as you said a...

Re: I give up!!! Please help

Thanks for the laugh...I just spat my coffee out. I thought I was the only one who wanted to burn my car, when it’s being difficult.[/quote] Difficult! It was difficult when the pinch bolts seized and I had to cut the hub carriers off both sides to fit new ones! This is taking the piss! Sent from my...

Re: I give up!!! Please help

crack the pipe/s to the abs module from the brake master cylinder to abs module while assistant presses or you pressure bleed it-common for air to be trapped there equally common for the master cylinder to be toast as you have pressed it beyond its normal stroke[clean area of bore] while bleeding ca...

Re: Car dealer purchase nightmare

not trying to be condescending either but that sort of car can throw huge bills at any given time, and you already stated it was a bit above your budget-i"d try and hand it back too as above,i"ve repaired a few old porkers and the price of parts is always "how much? !!! lol even compared to known exp...

Re: Car dealer purchase nightmare

car hire costs-nope your agreement with dealer-not if he deems quote unreasonable,he has the right to get it fixed where he chooses-by himself if he can opc parts new[and used] are a fortune-eye watering in fact,i"m surprised a northener agreed anything to do with london rates is the diagnostic work...

Re: Fitting coil overs

like a lot of folk i did the front arms upper/lower and droplinks when it was apart here in the uk we suffer terribly with the front pinch bolts seizing[the ones that hold the upper arm outer knuckles to the suspension upright]-adds to the job,in a friendlier climate they may come out a little easie...

Re: Fitting coil overs

its the toe that wears tyres-negative camber up to -3 deg or so wont cause excessive wear, dont think you would be anywhere near -3 deg camber on a lowered rs4,mine on b14[ableit set at at max permissable height] is about -1 deg appx,if your camber is uneven on front[ie excessive on one side] you nee...

Re: Fitting coil overs

i wouldnt fit the adjustable front arms unless you are using on track-once the front subframe is central and camber even/toe adjusted it will be fine for tyre wear
